Default Mega.nz "folder" URL problem

I'm currently trying to download something from Mega.nz, but every time I enter this "folder-style" URL for it into the "Add New Links" box, all I get are 2 results: a .PNG file called "rich-folder", and a .JS file called "secureboot". Now, I've already searched throughout the forums, and found out that this issue had apparently already been fixed. However, it still isn't working for me.

Here is the URL I was talking about:
Spoiler:

JDownloader version: JDownloader2 revision 42862
OS: Windows 10
Java: Version 8, Update 261
Antivirus Software: Kaspersky Internet Security 20.0.14.1085

Below is my log:

I hope I posted my log correctly.

Merged similar MEGA threads.

@MakutaMaster962
At this moment JD cannot handle mega.nz URLs without decryption key inside URL.
Get the key and append it to your URL via "#YourDecryptionKey" then JD should be able to find the contents just fine.

Where to give sample links if the thread is closed?

Example Folder mega.nz

Here I have to manually set the root name.

I try to follow the forum rules, but you try to convince that me you don't understand anything.

Your post in this thread is not related to this threads' topic in any way!

Disable "Information overwrites packagizer rules" and JD will auto-set the correct paths:

Default mega.co.nz - handle missing decryption keys

When giving jd2 a mega.nz URL without the decryption key (feature built-in to mega.nz) it results in no links being added to the LinkGrabber. Typically these would be named as "Wrong password!site_id_here". Would you be able to add a file set the error message/name to something relevant like "Wrong password" + "!J6kX3aaZ" as the content isn't actually offline or missing.

Folder URL: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
Decryption Key: EkZ4lrjNXDEdWk-oeC5Lmw
Combined: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
---
File URL: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
Decryption Key: 4wfgI3RVIp4XtwxNTCJ-2YU82cP3U_5p2ccKsGC91Gc
Combined: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

I'm very unsure about this.
At this moment, such links do not even get processed by the decrypter since they aren't considered valid links.

On the other side they do work in browser (it will ask for the password) so I guess asking for the password would be the better way to go.

Due to the way our mega plugins are built, this change requires some refactoring.
Do you by chance have some super old mega.nz links with the older URL-structure?
I do not want to drop the "backward compatibility" by mistake.

Hmm I suppose you don't mean megaupload.com but the next domain mega.co.nz? (which then moved to mega.nz, and now the current one is mega.io).

Here are some of the regex old regex I was able to find, the only updates have been to the domain name matching side.

~2013 mega.co.nz
Regex Old Link:
Code:
/#!([a-zA-Z0-9_-]{8})!([a-zA-Z0-9_-]{43})
Regex Old Folder:
Code:
/#F!([a-zA-Z0-9_-]{8})!([a-zA-Z0-9_-]{22})
~2015 mega.nz
Regex Newer Link:
Code:
/#!([a-zA-Z0-9_-]{8})!([a-zA-Z0-9_-]{43})
Regex Newer Folder:
Code:
/#F!([a-zA-Z0-9_-]{8})!([a-zA-Z0-9_-]{22})(?:[!?]([a-zA-Z0-9_-]{8}))?
then there's the latest version in which they use /file/ and /folder/ in the URL

I don't think I have any links saved myself from ~2012-2016 that are 100% alive, but on the off chance there could be some still left on the forums when searching for "mega.co.nz"; Mega does mark inactive accounts after a few years of not being logged in.

Here's an alive file from 2016 **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

dead file 2014 **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

The mega.io domain is not relevant for JD plugin development since it is not used for file/doler links in fact if you try it, you will run into a 404 error.

Thanks, that pretty much confirms my tests so I was able to add some validation

I've also done a research and found links from that era.
Looks like mega only had 2 formats (well or 4 if you want):
- File and Folder -> new/old
- Folder with file or folder reference -> new/old

After only 11 years, this ticket is finally closed

You can now also add single mega file links without decryption key and, depending on your mega.co.nz plugin settings, JDownloader will ask you for that key.
If you plan to add a lot of links without encryption key that all need the same key, simply add the links and then set the key as download password.

EDIT I may add that at this moment, JDownloader will not attempt to download links without key- or with an invalid-looking key via multihoster accounts.

Whenever a link cannot be processed due to a missing or wrong decryption key, the prefix INVALID_OR_MISSING_DECRYPTION_KEY_ will be added to the beginning of its filename until the key is entered.

there seems to be a problem with this update.
since today it asks for decryption key (for some files within a folder), even it was supplied with the download folder link. worked perfectly yesterday...

@uiui: please send example links to support@jdownloader.org . most likely small variation in URL format, eg different key/id length and pattern must be updated. we need example links here as all our own test links did work fine but very likely there are other URL formats *in the wild*

I'm on the same boat here, suddenly JD2 started asking for passwords/decryption keys.

Example links (some ask for a key, others don't):

Code:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Default Link processing regression

The latest fix introduces a regression in the processing of urlencoded links.
Normally current decryption keys are separated by a #.
But it is also possible to write out the URL with an encoded # as %23, which is used on patreon and other platforms, that do not process the anchor as part of the url.

Normal:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Encoded:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

jd no longer highlights already downloaded files in red in linkgrabber for mega links, that was downloaded before. can this be connected with plugin update?

@shinji2009: yes, most likely but can be fixed. Can you send me a copy of your downloadListXXX.zip file from cfg folder (upload somewhere and send me link to support@jdownloader.org )
I need a copy of old entry in list so I can check/fix the method that finds the *already in list*.

any updates? i sent you two letters 24.07.2024

you know actually links are not the same. but this was working before update.
link on mega is like mega.nz/folder/blablabla#boringboringboringboringboring
then uploader make new link for same folder, it looks like mega.nz/folder/myamyamya#boringboringboringboringboring
so part after # is the same, and jd handle this links like they are the same before. but not now
