Thanks @raztoki.
@pspzockerscene, if you get the opportunity, please let me know if my insta plugin is corrupted or old or something, since I'm the only one who gets the unknownFileName thing if I disable the instagram account (I posted relevant logs in a rar file on the last page). |

@serrato yes you are so far the only user who has reported this issue.

Hello again.
I am experiencing this issue once more. Anybody else? To confirm, I installed a brand new instance of JD in a separate test directory and I still get the "unknownFileName" package. |

|
||||
|
||||
@serrato: Can you please provide example links? With/without your account?
Also please provide a debug log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs I cannot reproduce the issue

Hi @Jiaz
Example link: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** (for full profile) and a single post: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Log: jdlog://2544325302851/ This is using completely default, stock JD as mentioned earlier in the test directory. |

Can you open the website in browser without being logged in?
log shows that instagram redirect to login page for you whereas it works fine for me

Yeah it's presenting the login screen if I paste links into the browser. How come it's not showing that for you?
I get the same unknownFileName issue regardless of whether or not I am logged into an instagram account on JD. It resolved on its own last time (either from instagram's side or from JD update). I also came across a news report from 2019 that instagram no longer allows logged out users to view any page. |

I guess this is sort of geo targeted. We will have to update the plugin to support this because
Thanks for the confirmation about account required in browser as well

I was wondering if it might be something to do with geo-targeting, but even after using a VPN to change locations, the issue persists. Seems pretty odd, especially if I can see a page in the browser while logged in, but JD won't crawl it even while logged in inside JD.

Can you provide a new log with account in use?

I tried but JD said "plugin outdated" so couldn't log me in.

@serrate: please provide a debug log with being logged in, we need to know why it fails

I really don't know why it's saying plugin outdated, but here's another log from right now jdlog://2194325302851/

@serrato: Please enable debug mode first, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs
and then remove/add the account again. wait for error and then create log. Have you enabled 2fa for your account? that might cause it

Nope, don't have 2FA enabled. This is what I get after the update in both main JD installation and default stock test: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** |

I'm sorry but the new log is NOT debug, so doesn't contain the important information.
Please enable debug mode first, see Settings->Advanced Settings->Log.debugmodeenabled restart JDownloader, remove/add the account again, try to add link and then create new log Thanks for your help!

Sorry, I didn't restart after enabling debug mode earlier.
Hope this is correct now: jdlog://6106325302851/ Btw, I get notifications from instagram of logging in, so clearly it's logging in but there is something going on when it reaches JD. |

Thanks! That log helps!
It fails because login fails at some stage and because of this the crawler cannot make use of the account. We will work on this as soon as possible

Update: I disabled my VPN and it started crawling correctly. It won't crawl with the VPN.
How do I make it work again? It had been fine with a VPN all this time. In fact, even while the VPN is enabled, JD fetches instagram account info correctly and logs in. Yet it won't crawl. [Similar behaviour with filejoker - I have a premium account, JD account manager correctly shows that it's premium but in the downloads list I get the error that free downloads are impossible. Edit: Disregard filejoker thing, apparently you have to go into the browser and generate the premium link. Why they have two separate links that don't resolve themselves for account type is beyond me lol but leaving this so that it helps as a kind of FAQ.] Last edited by serrato; 22.10.2020 at 06:14. |

@serrato
1. Regarding insta login (via VPN): Your old log showed that instagram demanded a security code via E-Mail - kinda ike 2FA login. JD cannot (yet) handle Instagram 2FA login which is why that fails and apparently they do force you to use an account when your VPN is active --> Fails Also, why do you want to use a VPN for Instagram downloading? Doesn't make any sense to me. 2. Regarding filejoker.net: Sorry, I don't really understood your post. If you are having issues only when your VPN is active, check what's the difference via browser. Also, if you want us to investigate this, please post a log. Does the filejoker login work fine in JD but downloading fails? -psp-

I see. I don't have 2FA enabled in my instagram (but I'll check once more). It does inform me that I have logged in via email but it does not ask for a code or anything like that.
It's not that I want to use VPN for instagram, it's more like I use VPN for everything. Is there a way I can make JD not use VPN for the time being until there is a fix in the next CORE update? I kinda sorta feel like there is but I forgot where I read about it or if I'm confusing something else with it. No worries about filejoker - it was my mistake. Basically filejoker has links that are premium-only. One link is offered publicly just to inform downloaders that it is not available for free users. If one has a premium account, that link has to be "converted" into its real premium link. Basically 2 links to the same file, one public-facing but undownloadable and one real link available for account-holders. I had forgotten about this. All in all, FJ and JD are working fine, I just used the wrong link. |

It's not exactly 2FA login - it is a security feature of Instagram which you cannot enable/disable but will be auto triggered in some situations. Using a VPN will trigger all sorts of security features on all kinds of websites for good - e.g. also amazon.com. JD is not yet able to go through this process and I'm unable to reproduce it here. However, I will try to implement a workaround for the Instagram plugin soon. Quote:
... but if you want to use your VPN for everything else on your system then, sorry, no idea how to do this and exclude JD at the same time - this is where it gets complicated. Quote:

Workaround for failing Insta login due to "security challenges":
Our next CORE-Update will contain a workaround for the above explained issues. In your case, serrato, you will have to do the following: 1. Enable your VPN and log-out and log-in again in your Instagram account in your browser. 2. Remove your Instagram account if it is still in your JD account manager. 3. Re-add your Instagram account but this time, use these instructions and enter your exported cookies into the password field. Please leave some feedback here and let us know if that works for you. That works! Thanks so much!
When the workaround will be implemented, will I just login like normal instead of pasting the cookies? |

Once the workaround is live, you can use the linked login-way to login using your browsers' cookies. Once the "Security challenge" login is fully implemented, the "cookie login workaround" will not be required anymore but there is no ETA for this so as long as you're using that VPN, I recommend using the cookie-login for Instagram. -psp-

Well it's kinda sorta working. For a while the images were being downloaded but then after that all images are being shown as "File Not Found" but strangely videos can be downloaded fine no prob.
Can you tell me how I can do what you said earlier (disabling instagram from using vpn in jd) so I can test that out? Update: I figured it out - I had the "Try to download original quality" option checked in the host plugin settings for instagram, so I guess that's broken eh. Can you confirm? Interesting.
Does it work with the option checked and VPN disabled? I'm unable to reproduce this issue here (without VPN) so if you want me to check this, please post a log: Please post your log-ID here | bitte poste deine Log-ID hier. -psp- EDIT I wasn't able to reproduce your issue so here are my thoughts on why/how this happens: - Because of your VPN -> Instagram sometimes blocks the "get best quality" way we use for VPN users -> This is only a theory or - Because of the initial problem: You got logged-out somehow while our plugin still thinks you're logged in

Hi!, normally when we report a problem, we put a log to help developers find the problem to get it solved.
As i have the same problem with IG i'll post mine. 08.11.20 22.38.46 <--> 08.11.20 22.53.36 jdlog://5152425302851/ Cheers! |

Hey PSP,
So since a couple days or so now, the issue is back. I presume that something has changed server side, because nothing has changed on my side - instagram crawler does not catch anything - I have tried on both my main and stock (test) profiles, logged in via password, via cookie, enabled and disabled VPN, etc. did everything and it's the same thing - no crawling. |

Are you all logged in with account in JDownloader? Can you please check again with disabled account?
