Need help on Archive Extractor
I always have Archive Extractor enabled, with few problems. But now I'm getting links that contain RARs for multiple packages eg:
show1-part1.rarJD2 extracts these all into the same download folder, which mixes Show1 and Show2 parts. I can set these up to have the shows in different download folders before I start downloading, but I often forget. And I keep thinking that JD2 knows how to handle these itself, if I get the settings right. SO - my question is on settings. I have "Extract to" set as "G:\___DL___\<jd:packagename>". I have "Create subfolder" enabled, with no conditions. The subfolder pattern is "%PACKAGENAME%". Shouldn't this already be creating separate extraction folders for Show1 and Show2? What am I missing? Log posted: 01.08.15 09.28.21to01.08.15 18.56.42 jdlog://2224562095341/ See for example the packages with names including "art of 01-04". Thanks |

Please provide some example links. Send them to support@jdownloader.org
This can happen when auto packaging puts both archives into same package, can be caused by filename of the archive parts, that's why I need example links

Any prognosis on this? I have Archive Extractor disabled to avoid getting more jumbled collections, but it's such a helpful feature that I am sorry to lose it.
Thx |

Please resend the links, cannot find them.
Also why use SubFolder twice? "Extract to" set as "G:\___DL___\<jd:packagename>" -> this cause a subfolder with name of PackageName The subfolder pattern is "%PACKAGENAME%" -> this cause another subfolder with packagename so Package Test will go to G:\___DL___\Test\Test

I have sent another problem link to support@jdownloader.org. I also posted a log of downloading that link:
17.08.15 14.51.49to17.08.15 15.33.23 jdlog://4051614739341/ BTW - The reason I had "subfolder" enabled (no longer do) was in case it had become unchecked by accident. I was trying anything I could think of to get subfolders created. Last edited by Arbie; 18.08.2015 at 01:04. |

Jiaz -
I didn't get an email, and can't find any way to access the Ticket system. The only account credentials I have for the Support site no longer work, and getting a new password emailed has given no results either. So - can you please PM me with the info? Thanks. |

You need to use %ARCHIVENAME% as Placeholder.
The files all/often land in same Package because of naming of the files. So you need to change the Subfolder Pattern to use ArchiveName to get a different subfolder for each archive. Also change the numbers to 0/0/1 !

Thank you, that fixed it. I enabled the "Create Subfolder" option, entered 0, 0, and 1 for its file and folder counts, and entered %ARCHIVENAME% for its Subfolder pattern. Now all packages unpack into separate folders.
