Exclamation Switching to a new JDownloader windows installer - Virus Warnings?! What's going on?

What is going on?
We are currently switching to a new partner for our adware (Windows only) bundled installer that can be found here.

Can I check which Installer did I download?
As we are in middle of a/b testing with the new partner, you will either get the old installer (JDownloaderSetup.exe) or new one (JDownloader_number.exe).

Virus/Trojans warnings/reports?
We are receiving reports about trojans/virus within these new installers, mostly by Windows Defender and we are looking into those with our partner. To our understanding reports ending with !ml, these are due to *machine learning* and seem to have very high false positive rate and cause issues because of that.

You can find similar reports/issues, by searching for "defender !ml", for example:
github.com/win-acme/win-acme/issues/2561
steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/0/3165461775594224582/
github.com/marticliment/UniGetUI/issues/1116

Because those !ml detections needs to be addressed by Microsoft and does require a Defender signature update, there is long "report -> fix -> fixed -> update -> no longer reporting false positive at user computer" delay.

You can help us
You may help us by sending us screenshots/reports of those detections to support@jdownloader.org so we can collect and forward them to our partner, so they can further look into those.

I don't want to deal with this, just let me download/install JDownloader

As always, you can find the latest adware free installer here.

We understand your concerns, and take them seriously.

And because of the many negative feedback/reports we received,we decided to stop using the new installer for the moment.

We already have identified the reason behind "Decline" button not working as expected by user. It happens because there is an additional dialog with changed logic, so you have to click "Cancel" here. We agree that "Decline" means "No" and thus requested the removal of this dialog completely.
This dialog is cause of the "giving consent by accident" problem.
