Hey. I'd like to express that I have been having a problem already stated here days ago. Many of the videos that I try to download from youtube say: "temporarily unavailable", then JD tries again in 30 minutes (A timer that can probably be set somewhere in the settings)

It seems that after JD automatically retries after 30 minutes or 60 minutes the download usually works, but this also means the downloads take much longer than expected

On the other hand, this process can be speed up by just resetting the download manually, but it would be really nice and save us time if this bug was fixed :>

Lastly, I'd like to mention that I have been unable to download this specific video for the last 18 hours approximately. Resetting this link multiple times didn't work and adding it again doesn't work either: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

seit gestern ist es so, das wenn man andere (kleinere) Auflösungen z.b. von 1080 auf 720 oder 480 oder 360 einstellt ....Online von z.b 5/5 auf 4/5 etc. springt und man keine Einstellingen mehr vornehmen kann, bei Größe steht dann Unbekannt es ist bei allen YT Videos so (zumindest bei mir!).

I just tried yt-dlp, and it does not download either. It gets the error message that I should log in to prove I'm not a bot.

It's not downloading M4A from YouTube at 128 kbps, now at 96 kbps only, and don't tell me that it's the original audio quality of the video because I tried with another video I previously downloaded whose audio format was precisely M4A at 128 kbps.

@dialexg91: Nothing has changed regarding to what itag/variant is download but the shown kbps may change due to recent change how the average bitrate provided by yt is translated into shown kbps. before it could easily happen that the bitrate ended up in higher kbps area, eg 128kbit/s shown as 152kbit/s. due to calculation/translation change, it's more accurate to its lower bound than its upper bound.

In short: nothing has changed regarding download, only shown kbps can be different now. before the shown kbps was nearer the upper bound, while now it's nearer the lower bound.

The last update cleaned it up but still get the usual errors. like Timout, Temporary unavailable, and Please sign or log in error. iI think its because im hitting their servers with 4 downloads at once .Probably YT server overload protection..

How can I choose the language of subtitles that are to be downloaded?

I used to be able to select language in variant column, but that's no longer there.

I want to grab the subs (not transcript) from **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

But I get only Japanese subtitles.

@dialexg91: optimized the shown bitrate and allowed 10% variance for the correct bucket. Now it shows 128kbps again but as explained, still the same stream, only difference in text representation

Oh, how silly of me. the videos have hard-baked subtitles. So the only subs available are Japanese. Oops.

I added ["en"] in Settings and now I see auto-translated subtitles, that's good enough for me.

UPDATE WITH LOG.....Looks like I got banned from Youtube since last night. .I'm getting the Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot error .

See how long it will last.

Tried downloading 1800 videos yesterday and looks like they caught up to me..

Tried the cookie thing but its all Greek to me to figure it out. Too bad there is a way to just enter my yt name and password in the yt plugin on JD2 instead of doing the cookie process.

24 hours later and still not downloading.Even the Linkgrabber is not accepting YT links..

I shut off the Linkgrabber filters and I get " Content offline!Error - r5WteWOexhs [Definition Season 14 Epsiode 38]; Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot" In Linkgrabber......

Test yt link i used to generate the message above..

Plus I still have to finish 375 videos out of 1800 which I've downloaded before the ban..

OK.I figured out the cookie process but how can i keep the downloads going without have to keep renewing the cookies.

All the files i mentioned got downloaded but i had to keep updating the cookies to keep the downloads downloading..

I dont shut down the browser or log out of my YT account.

Is there a way to keep it alive.

Die Originalsprache ist spanisch. Am PC ist der Ton automatisch deutsch, auch der deutsche Titel wird angezeigt.
JDownloader hingegen lädt die spanische Originalsprache. Auch der Titel ist dann spanisch.

Leider ist mein englisch nur mangelhaft, sodass ich mich bei den Profieinstellungen nicht gut genug zurechtfinde.

You have to use a separate pair of cookies. exporting your cookies from daily use, will of course invalidate those in JDownloader. Do not export cookies from a normal session/tab in browser. As explained here https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...n-instructions
Also due to ongoing changes with yt, it might soon be necessary to refresh cookies more often.

@didi: In der Variantenspalte in der Übersicht die jeweilige Sprache auswählen. Gleiches geht via Rechtsklickmenü. Aktuell gibt es noch keine Möglichkeit einen Wunsch der gewählten Sprache zu setzen und JDownloader bevorzugt aktuell die Sprachen in der Reihenfolge von Einstellungen->Profeinstellungen->Youtube.qualitysortidentifierorderaudiotype (Original > Synchronisiert-> automatisch/ai Synchronisiert)
Kurz: Aktuell muss man die gewünschte Sprache noch selbst auswählen, da es keine Vorauswahl gibt

ähm... wie ich schon sagte, es ist automatisch alles auf deutsch. Erst wenn ich dann das geladene Video abspiele, erlebe ich ein blaues bzw. spanisches Wunder. Und der Titel des Videos ist auch spanisch. Auf youtube war aber ALLES auf deutsch.

In der betreffenden Zeile steht

"ORIGINAL",
"DUBBED",
"DUBBED_AUTO"
]

Aber das läßt sich nicht ändern, bzw. wenn man es ändert, dann stellt es sich wieder zurück.
