what virus software do you use? Those links work over here.

there are some links which aren't available on fileserve, but JD grabber shows a file size and try downloading them, like **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
what's causing the problem? |

Their link checker is kaput. They don't seem to be able to repair those file indexes.

@Alborz
We use their linkchecker and it shows wrong information. Test it if you want: fileserve.com/link-checker.php Please contact the fileserve support. GreeZ pspzockerscene

Hi, i've recently just purchased fileserve premium and just 2 days ago, and our govt from malaysia decides to ban a few file sharing sites, fileserve being one of them. May i know is there a way to bypass the dns ban they have on fileserve on jdownloader?

I use Bit Defender... You think that could be the issue? Are there any settings I could try?

Until that ban is removed you can try proxy servers and VPNs. |

@remi: Protest require police permit to go ahead, so you can guess the chances of that happening. We have law that allows detention without trial, renewable every 60 days without any limit on the numbers of renewals. Then there's the death in police custody, which is common but don't get reported since all mainstream medias are controlled and/or own by the government. So yeah, we're kinda reluctant to "stick it to the man" in public. |

Yes try to remove it and restart your PC, then you're sure it's caused by that program.

Downloads Failed
Hi,
All of a sudden my Jdownloader cannot download anything from my premium Fileserve account. I have been using jdownloader for months and I have never had a problem. Things I have checked. 1 fileserve website works fine without using Jd. 2 checked firewall settings, everything is fine. 3 java version 6.21 I don't know what to do, I definitely don't want to stop using Jdownloader because it worked great in the past. Please help me get JD back to normal |

If your password contains special characters, please change it.
Then remove your account, restart jD, and add the account again. If this wouldn't work, please provide a complete and detailed log. |

Hi Remi thanks for the reply, I did have a special character in my password and changed it but the problems persists.
I have attached my log. |

You're having connection problems.
It's possible the FSe server you want to download from is temporarily unavailable. If downloads work in your browser then something might block jD. Can you download links from other hosts in jD? I recommend to :- 1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software. 2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links. |

It seems to be a premium issue. Without premium all downloads are fine. I tested with and without anti virus and firewall but this wasn't the issue, I already set exclusions for JD anyway.
I've done everything else you suggested unfortunately it's still 'download failed' I think we have a mystery here remi. |

No mysteries. It can always be a bug.
If you've no problems with free downloads and other hosts, please, send your account data to support@jdownloader.org . |

I spoke to support and they said it was a Java connection issue. They told me to install open dns, which I did, (not sure what it does to be honest) but the problem is still there.
So no fix in the end. |

Changing your DNS addresses to OpenDNS makes sure you don't use your ISP's DN servers.
If you've java connection problems and you did what I recommended in post #1059, then you should remove your virus software. It's possible you need special removal software and registry cleaners. Always restart your computer after such removals, because viruses are very difficult to remove. If you've a firewall in your router you can temporarily remove that as well. |

Well I finally fixed it. it wasn't anything to do with fire walls or anti virus software on this particular issue. I simple uninstalled JD and Java then Re installed Java then installed JD. Seemed to fix the issue. Either that or it was an update in the last few days...
Thanks for the help anyways Remi |

I've tested part10 and part11 and both work fine.
If you can download both links with your browser, I recommend to :- 1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software. 2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links. |
