I assumed by this that the plugin just got updated again?
I'm sorry but I think the update broke the filenaming on video download. instead of the original video name, now it uses the uploader names or sometimes random name that I can't figure out where it comes from.

yes the name of the uploader has been added to the title via the last update.

but the video name is missing from the filename, so it looks like this

uploadername_id_resolution.mp4 / Ivan Kowacz_253433875_456239859_720p.mp4

where in earlier update it looks like this

videoname_id_resolution.mp4 / UFC 263 Adesanya vs Vettori 2 (Edwards vs Diaz)_253433875_456239859_720.mp4

is that intended? does the latest update changed from video name to uploader name?
if so, can I get back to video name again?

oh thank you for the quick fix.

although... I'm not sure if I'm liking with how videos are named now.
I don't want to sounds like a rude pedantic person, but I think it's best if we have an option to keep away the uploader name, this is because most uploader name has long Cyrillic name, it's a bit distracting (no offense, I'm really sorry if I do) or I would be interested on how to handle a packagizer rules for this. thank you for your consideration.

I'm not sure what's better either but I've added the uploaders' name to the title as it's done the same way in other plugins.

Most of all content I've seen on vk.com has cyrillic names...

Your log contains issues with single "photo" URLs, not video URLs.
Can you reproduce this somehow?
If so, please provide example URLs.

Does it only happen for older vk.com URLs which are already in your downloadlist or can you reproduce it after adding the same URLs to JDownloader again?

Can't save video from private messages if user upload the video right in to dialog with me. I can download it only with VkOpt (**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**) extension for Chrome. This is how video-link looks like:

I can't even catch it from source code of page or from Chrome network tab, idk how VkOpt do it but you can check it in script that VkOpt requires to download audio/video:

They require to install it in Tampermonkey because Chrome Store will remove extension if it will contain functions to download audio/video from VK.

Also you need to add vk-account to JD to do it. Private messages available only if you are registered.

Sorry but we do not support downloading content that is part of private conversations.

Also as long as there is no link available which leads to the video-only but only a link that leads to the whole conversation this is gonna be complicated...

Here are your options:
1. Use this "VkOpt" software that you mentioned previously.
2. Use this method for such videos.

...but still:
If you are willing to provide testlinks/conversations/vk login credentials, I could at least take a look at it.

Few versions ago (idk when it's started) JD parses link like this fine, but now it's only can parse link like this:

The file name has changed after the update (VK Video), additional information has been added, and is there any chance for a return/customize to the standard file name?

You could either use a Packagizer rule to make this work right away or wait for the next CORE-update which will contain a setting for this.
