Does it only happen on this link?
alse:Press [q] to stop, [?] for help (readInputStreamToString)] -> false:[mp4 @ 00000000030bd5e0] Invalid DTS: 3600 PTS: 1800 in output stream 0:0 (readInputStreamToString)] -> false:[mp4 @ 00000000030bd5e0] Application provided invalid, non monotonically increasing dts to muxer in stream 0: 1800 >= NOPTS (readInputStreamToString)] -> false:av_interleaved_write_frame(): Invalid argument (readInputStreamToString)] -> false:frame= 3 fps=0.0 q=-1.0 Lsize= 100kB time=00:00:00.02 bitrate=40743.6kbits/s (readInputStreamToString)] -> false: (readInputStreamToString)] -> false:video:100kB audio:0kB subtitle:0kB other streams:0kB global headers:0kB muxing overhead: unknown (readInputStreamToString)] -> false:Conversion failed! Something broken/invalid with that stream and causes ffmpeg to fail

You could try to replace JDownloaderFolder/tools/Windows/ffmpeg/x64/ffmpeg.exe
with newer one from ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/

Yes only happens with that link. I replaced ffmpeg.exe as you suggested and it now
seems to be downloading. Thanks. |

I see that the ticket is closed, with a comment that "Yes BBC does have more qualities than we got in our selection but all of them are lower - or did I miss something?"
The 50 fps variants that are accessed by the JD plugin are not higher quality than the 25 fps variants at the same resolution. The 50 fps variants are offered by the BBC because they probably make for better playing in web browsers on monitors with refresh rates that don't closely match the framerate of 25 fps. The 50 fps variants are created using frame duplication of the 25 fps variants, so they do not have any more information than the 25 fps variants. The 1280x720 25 fps variants are generally higher quality than the 1280x720 50 fps variants, generally being more than half the filesize of the 1280x720 50 fps variants, so a higher bitrate per frame. Because the 50 fps variants have much larger filesizes than the 25 fps variants, and because the 50 fps variants are generally of lower video quality than the 25 fps variants, people prefer to access the 1280x720 25 fps variants , identified by get-iplayer as hlshd1 in the link I provided, where they are available. Tried my first BBC link
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** it seemed to download and complete- I have a MP4 file of over 470mb but file wont play in Media Player Classic or VLC player: MPC says: cannot render the file. I am trying the link again now because according to link list estimate it should be much bigger - which is nearer what I would expect for a 60 minute programme. so somehow an incomplete file was downloaded. log file; 07.12.17 12.29.18 <--> 07.12.17 03.11.17 jdlog://1239024015941/ Last edited by Patr100; 07.12.2017 at 16:39. |

Ok update for you.
Second attempt worked Ok. About 2 GB size file. Not sure why the first file attempt got truncated. Maybe the log file will give a clue. Will test and monitor further. |

Log shows that the download aborted but should not have finished. I will fix that in core
Thanks for the feedback!

Is this fixed officially? Whenever I try a link it is really slow and it's a bit hit or miss to keep trying with a big file if it wont complete anyway.
