Question LinkGrabber Adding Multiple Files Separately with File Names as Subfolders

Hi there!

Not sure if it's a bug or a new "feature" hence I am posting here in General in case if it's just a matter of option changes in the Settings.

JDownloader used to add multiple links into LinkGrabber combined in one Package with the name "Various Files" and default download folder as selected in the Settings.

Lately, since last two week or so ago, I have noticed it's started to add each and every single file (regardless of file type eg. archives, YouTube Videos) as a separate Package with a subfolder added at the end of default download folder in the Settings same as the file name.

I have noticed there's a new tag at the end of every Package in LinkGrabber now that wasn't there before and it stays there despite in the settings the default folder is already set. The tag is "<jd:packagename>" and I am assuming that's what causing all this change.

Was this change biproduct of some other changes or was it intended? And how can I change it back to behave the old way please where I don't get a long list of all files with their own subfolders rather than having all those downloaded at the same default location please?

I couldn't find the settings for "<jd:packagename>" tag in the default download options area in the Settings.

Here are some pics, I have added on external site Imgur since the max resolution of those screenshots varies and go beyond the limits allowed here.

Adding some example Links but don't really needed I guess since it's more to do with LinkGrabber default settings behavior and happening with every link.

One YouTube Link:

These next three links should've gone into one Package named "Various Files" with default download folder settings in the past but now have three separate Packages each with subfolder as file name as shown in the 4th pic above..

Thanks for the help!

Hi,
we haven't changed any defaults.
What you mean should be this:

Thanks for the link, the culprit was predefined rules in Packagizer Settings and pretty sure it was enabled by default during one of the JD updates in last few weeks. I have never bothered fiddling with that tab since never needed to use/change any custom rules. JDownloader's default advanced options right out of the box has been great for me for years!

It's back to old ways, thanks again. 👍

No, we are rarely changing defaults.

Either you did it or it happened due to some kind of bug.

I am unable to download folders and also their subfolders from GD, with the old method of JDW downloading the latter inside the main one.

Like this:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

As you can see, the subfolders is "Covers", but it's only being download as a separate folder.

If you are able to download "Covers" properly, please advise what is going on...

This is how the rules are configured here:

What exactly is wrong?

You got the "Adopt folder structure" rule disabled, see:
