there is a offical link but Isnt it clean ?
The installers on the main page asks you if you want to install a bundled software - for example a toolbar. This is the way we earn money. The installer shows you a screen, and you can uncheck the toolbar installation. So you you read the installer screens, you will not get anything unwanted installed.

We do not like this Adware-Driven model alot, but there is no real alternative right now. We will offer a kind of "Paid-JD-Premium" Version of JDownloader that has no ads, and a few extra features. But this Premium services will come when we finally release JD2 (it is beta right now)

Unfortunately, JD2 Development is slower than we thought, and so we offer Adware-free installers here until we finally prepare for JD-Premium.

Nice of you to offer these during development. Personally, I don't mind bundled software as long as there is the *option* to not install the extra software (some are deceptive and don't allow this, but I know JD would never pull anything like that )

You have to earn your money *somehow*. Frankly, an "ad panel" (SMALL) wouldn't even bother me - used to have that with the old Net Vampire

I'd rather have something like that and have revenue at least trickle in and development continue, than have no revenue and development be forced to stop.

offline installers wont come as I see it. Mainly due to the amount of data in JDownload that changes at the day to day level. Our installers would be out of date quickly, and become troublesome to maintain. It would also mean you would download the installer say ~100meg for arguments sake. After installing you would then have to update all out dated components, if the installer is old it could be up to 90% so you would then download another 90meg. Resulting in wasting our bandwidth and yours along with your time!
