Unhappy Jdownloader not working with blocked sites.

Hi guys

I am huge fan and avid user of Jdownloader but recently the local government blocked popular sites like vidbull and vodlocker

Is there a way I can get JDownloader to bypass this ISP blacklisting and download from these sites ?

Maybe try and build in a proxy option or something so I can get past these filters. Please help guys

Thanks

Regards
Banf.

Either use a proxy/vpn or a different dns provider in case your dns is blocked.

Hi
We already have a proxy function.
However, if you find ways to bypass the government blocks of such hosts without proxy e.g. using "**External links are only visible to Support Staff** instead of "**External links are only visible to Support Staff** (or the other way round) or using the IP instead of the domain - tell us and we'll implement that

Use google to search "how to change dns" and "dnscrypt".
If you change your dns and it changes back to ISP's dns, the block is via that dns. In that case, try dnscrypt.

You can change DNS locally on your Computer or on your Router. Please use google to find further help/examples how to do this.
You can check DNS by simple ping your site and check if there is a result/if the result is correct.
Please use google to find list of proxies and vpn providers.

You need to setup a proxy in Settings-Connections and move it above the entry "no proxy"

Thanks Jiaz.One last thing.
Could you give a brief summary on what I should fill in the 'Add proxy' box ?For example the proxy type.. is it Direct or HTTP ? port number too.

Remember this is for downloading from fileshosters like vidbull or nowvideo.

Type is normally HTTP or Socks5, and host/port you need to know.
