Default oron says dont use jdownloader

Either with my premium account or as a free user I can download only few MBs and stops with a wrong message of 15000 MB download limits achieved. After a couple messages to oron support I got a final message: Do not use J Downloader if you do, it eats your limit in seconds.Thank you-Kind regards,
Oron.com - Support

What can I do to beat this problem?

@fellow5
You're probably using too much connections per file.
Please tell me how many connections per file you are using.
Its the setting on the buttom right corner of JD called "Max.Con".
To make sure that this doesn't happen to any other users i limited the maximum connections for premium users to 1, wait for the next update!

Please note that the oron.com support is really now wanting to help their users.
They know exactly that JD is the best downloadmanager for their site and they even make money with it (because their premiumusers use JD) but still they don't even attempt to help us improving the support for their filehost.

If they continue to act like that i'm pretty sure that their site won't survive very long...
If you want you can tell them this

I wrote them a pretty nice message (without offending them in any way).
I'm waiting for their response...

I really hate it when people are talking trash about something they didn't even ever use (like oron does).

Thank you for your quick response. I have revised max con. from 3 to 1. Also I have written another message to oron to reimburse my payment and delete my premium membership.

I got news.
Here is the oron.com response:
"Thank you for contacting ORON support. We appreciate your business.

Your software destroys download limit on ORON in seconds due to the way it works and your inability to adjust it.
It checks links or does whatever which causes multiple link generation thus causing maxed out download limit.

Thank you"

So they actually want to say that JD is the problem and well i would say their system just isn't very userfriendly but still i'll try to improve the plugin for the next update.
Seems like they just take the traffic for every generated downloadlink which means that if you want to download something and generate a link the traffic is gone before downloading a single piece of the file!

EDIT

After the next update JD won't "waste" your oron.com traffic anymore.

Glad I found this thread. I swear this problem has only stated in the last 2-3 weeks, but I've been finding that JD is getting more errors (ie 'service temporarily unavailable') in the download status of multiple ORON links.

For several months JD performed seamlessly with ORON. I could 'copy' a whole page of ORON links and it would verify and download without failure.

Then in the last few weeks I'm continuously getting my premium ORON downloads limited after only using 5000mb of my allocated 15000mb. They reset it for me twice but each time it would lock out again.

Reading this thread it would appear that the status errors in JD are causing multiple link generations for my ORON a/c, thus locking it out.

Their final email to me today:

Dear ORON User,

Thank you for contacting ORON support. We appreciate your business.
JDownloader works in the way that kills your traffic without downloading, so we would recommend Orbit Downloader.

Thank you

Kind regards,
Oron.com - Support

----------

I'll be sure to watch this thread for the next JD update that may resolve this. Understandably this may be difficult if ORON refuse to talk with the JD devs.

Good luck guys - I love your program:thumbup:

@mattyd
Well i would say that oron is the one who makes the mistake because seriously...when you generate a downloadlink they just take the traffic, even if the download hasn't been started.
...whatever, it should work perfect with the next update.
At least now they can't tell anyone NOT to use JD.
Also orbitdownloader is NO JD alternative because it doesn't fully automate the downloads like JD does.
With orbitdownloader you would have to generate all those downloadlinks on your own and then let orbitdownloader download them.

Please note that their generated downloadlinks expire so if you stop a download in JD and resume it the next day JD will HAVE TO generate a new link, there you can see how bad their system is.

I told their support that after the next update they can even recommend their users JDownloader.

It's a shame that they didn't contact us, we had to contact them!

This can only mean that OD doesn't check your links before it actually starts downloading them.

You can achieve the same behaviour in jD. Disable "Check link info and online status" in Settings -> Basics -> User Interface -> Linkgrabber.

@remi
Checking links doesn't cause any traffic as it's tested without loggin in sao this cannot happen, what they send to their users was just crap, they don't know how JD works.
As described above i "fixed" this and it ll work correctly with the next update!

My ORON premium has just expired.

I might wait until the next update of JD before renewing my subscription me thinks.... I find JD incredibly valuable & time saving in downloading multiple links (esp. love the fact it picks up on links that you've selected in a 'copy to clipboard' function).

Just out of interest, is the next update expected anytime soon?

Cheers.

My humble apologies but I did not see anything about ORON in the changelog entry I was reading.

I'll assume from your response that the ORON issue is resolved. I didn't mean to get your back up.

Many thanks.

Default Problem continues

I updated jDownloader a couple of times the last 2-3 weeks, and I'm getting the same problem listed here "no traffic left". I believe this is the same issue - I didn't download anything, but I added a couple of links, and immediately it shut me down.
Any way we can get this looked at? I love jDownloader, but I might have to resort to a different software package if I can't get things to behave like they should. I would hate to do that, but I've had problems with Oron and jDownloader in the past, and it seems like jDownloader can't get this resolved.

I guess I'm mistaken - my oron account says I have a negative amount of data to download - looks like I better change my PW on their site. I'll report back if I have any more problems. Thanks for the quick reply!

That probably means you need to upload some data to oron.:w00t:
