Hi, I'm downloading stuff as I usually do but now the second I click on download it takes up all my memory 100% of memory and I can't use anything. If I turn it off I can do anything I want to. but switch it on again and it immediately uses up the memory to 100%. it normally runs at about 25%. it is running now but not downloading and it is running at 25% but the minute I click on Download it rockets to 98%+ and stays there. I only download 2 - 3 programs at a time. and i cant use the mouse when it is like that. Ive tried another version of JD it using the CFG but that the same.Turn it off comletely and it all goes ok.

All your memory -> sounds like firewall/av/driver/anything else.
JDownloader cannot take all your memory! See about dialog, there are the memory stats and limits shown. the third number is the maximum java is allowed to use. Can you provide screenshots? of taskmanager and about dialog

You don't have to install Java! JDownloader comes with it's own bundled Java, no need for system installed one. I need screenshot of the about dialog of JDownloader and the taskmanager when you say the 100% happens

harddrive usage (thread title) and cpu usage are not the same;
run out of space, you can set a reserve settings > advanced settings> GeneralSettings.forcedfreespaceondisk cpu usage in the past has been linked to https/ssl transfers (when downloading) cpu usage could be caused by high volume of links in list, and not enough memory allocation. Java garbage collection happens in loop trying to free memory but non can be really found. Allocate more memory to fix this.

@ron101: yes, thanks!
Can you please check if it also happens with other files. Disable all downloads in your list and add for example http://cdn8.appwork.org/speed.zip for testing and try to download that one. Fastest/easiest would be a Teamviewer session, just contact us via support@jdownloader.org

High CPU was caused by 20 Connections and AES-GCM Cipher, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...ng-downloading
