Default Question on JDownloader Remote App

When the Android app connects to the windows application, how is that communication secured? Is it plaintext communication which or does it use something like SSL?

Thanks for the very useful software!

Regards,

It uses real End2End encryption. Your password never left your computer.
It uses AES(Encryption)/Hmac(Authentication)/SessionTokens(Sessions)/RequestIDs(Replay Attack).
Experimental RSA Support(use new AES key for each Request) is in *work in progress* phase.

You can read about the encryption and api in api docs here https://my.jdownloader.org/developers/index.html

There are existing clients in many coding languages (google). We have it available in java (used by Android App) and javascript (used on Webinterface). You can easily code it yourself and verify what is written in api.

Feel free to contact us at support@jdownloader.org if you have more questions about this.
