Default "Paint user interface" at 3 mins at startup

I recently re-installed Windows 7 and also re-installed Java and JDownloader. So I'm using the latest version of Java (Java SE 6 Update 27) and the latest JDownloader (0.9.581) on Windows 7.

When I first open JDownloader, I'm stuck with the "paint user interface" window - which sits on top of everything else - and it's stuck there for 3-4 minutes before the actual program loads. Then everything works fine.

Before I re-installed JDownloader, and used an earlier version, this never used to happen.

I tried to re-install Java just now but it didn't change anything.

Very annoying..

what firewall/av do you use?
is jd on local disk or network drive?

it takes nearly 2 mins until java can list the plugin folder. seems something is blocking/scanning the files and that takes a lot of time

I just use the Windows firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials as AV.

JD is on a local disk

Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.
