This is a recent issue with tiktoks where the linkgrabber shows the link as unknown though it still downloads fine through jd2 and the links work in the browser.

Related issue:
I have a packegizer rule for adding the view count :
<jd:orgfilenamewithoutext>_<jd:prop:play_count_string>.<jd:orgfiletype>
These links which are grabbed as unknown don't have this but rater just the base tiktok video id eg : 7075761565928197422_.mp4

I'm guessing this is due to the links showing up as unknown.
Is there any way to recheck these links in the linkgrabber without deleting and re-adding them?

This doesn't happen for all links and not even for the same link always, but is reproducible.

eg links:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Both these links showed the issue, but are now working correctly. The ip was the same for all these.

This issue can be marked as resolved, as it has not happened since, might just have been a bad day at tiktok servers or the vpn.

In the meanwhile, as described in other threads, we've added multiple workarounds to find the date reliably though bugs may always happen and the tiktok website may change at any point of time.
