Hi again,

Yesterday after I updated JD I was able to crawl 13 profiles successfully. But after that it kept just crawling close to the end (like if the profile has 1000 files it gets to 900) and then gets stuck indexing forever.

I thought maybe it was an issue on my side so i let it rest but trying again today and its the same. Tried with about 6 different profiles.

I am not sure its a JD issue at all but thought id still give that feedback. Thanks for the attention.

But i'm having trouble downloading stories from specific profile.

exmaple profile with a lot of stories
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

2 stories from another profile
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

In this case, the plugin is grabbing the last story from the main page and not from profile.

Of course i can explain... IG has stories in the your landing page, the page that loads by default when you reach the page. That stories that are shown in that page are like the status in whatsapp. And it shows the stories of all your contacts that you follow. Also there are other type of stories that are shown in the person profile. Ex: **External links are only visible to Support Staff**www.instagram.com/thalia. You'll see there the stories of her only. And that aren't the same as shown in your main page.


This is profile specific stories

When i try to get the stories from specific user, let's say **External links are only visible to Support Staff**www.instagram.com/thalia, i only get the stories that are public in my main page related to that person, but not the profile stories.

I'm sorry but I still don't understand.
Just as a quick overview - currently JD can grab the following types ofv "story URLs":

instagram.com/stories/username/12345678/

instagram.com/stories/highlights/12345678/

In your case I've clicked on the story and added it to JD which got me 6 video items which is exactly the same number of items I can see in my browser when opening the story of that user...

Hi, today i tried to download the stories from the profile and it worked like a charm (thaaaanks!!) using the highlight url. My request came from other profile with a lot of old stories accumulated that also has stories in my main page as they update everyday. I'll try with them.

EDIT:

I just tested download highlighted stories and worked very well. Many thanks for your hard work with IG, i understand that the guys on FB likes to alter its code and makes very hard to grab content consistently and predictable way.
