Default File Size Restriction

How can I set up file size restrictions in Jdownloader so that JDownloader does not download files larger than 1GB or smaller than 1MB? Is this even possible?

Hi,
this is not possible or at least not easily via GUI.

Here are some possible solutions:
1. Prevent yourself from adding items outside of your desired filesize range in the first place:
Setup filters or views for your linkgrabber see Settings -> Linkgrabber Filter
This won't have any effect on items that are already in your downloadlist!
or:
2. For items that are already in your downloadlist:
You could create a custom EventScripter script which then e.g. removes- or disables all unwanted files with a click of a button.

not possible or via the gui? unless made a mistake in the sentence else you kinda contradict yourself if your response.

couldn't be much easier than two rules?
settings > linkgrabber filter > filter rule
rule1: filesize between 0B and 1MB
rule2: filesize between 1GB and 1TB (you could use any figure for the secondary)

He was talking about downloading so if this is precicely what he means, my answer is correct.

If not, my answer is also correct as it already includes the information on "how to avoid even adding files in that filesize-range".^^

Yah I could see that, but thats not how the message came across, think he means this in general terms. But then again I could be wrong...
There are obvious limitations to the answer, not always filesize units provided on providers, or correct units, and some streaming never publish ending so you can't estimate

Yap that is valuable additional information.

We'll see whether or not our answers will be helpful for him.
