I guess it'll be a limited release then, as there are still 185 open items and I don't see how you're going to implement those in 1-2 months.

As far as I understand Jiaz' posts #38 and #40 about the ETA for the next Nightly release, a test version will be released around the 9th of January.

This is slightly OT as it's not about Captchas, but this thread has turned into a more generic RemoteControl thread anyway:
Will the new API have some way to unique identify a download? Currently the name is used to identify a download, but that's not necessarily unique (same file from multiple downloaders). Also when adding a file there is no easy way to figure out what the name is going to be, so changing parameters for it later is not trivial. It would be great if each download had a unique ID of some sort, if the API could use that ID instead of/in addition to the name, and if there was a variant of the link grab that returns the ID of the file/package being grabbed. Other than that I'm very happy with the RemotControl Plugin! It's a far cry from having to mess with the HTML frontend... Yours MLi |

Chances are high that it will come. Please read "Unique Id for packages". If packages have identifiers then I wouldn't see why files wouldn't have identifiers.
