premium.rpnet.biz RPNet API Key Keeps Expiring
Hello.
For a few weeks now, I have noticed that my RPNet account becomes disabled inside of JDownloader. In order to fix the problem, I have to log in to RPNet website and generate a new API key, then update the API key inside of JDownloader. This problem occurs even if/when JD2 is up-to-date. Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this issue and what can be done to fix it. Thanks. |

I wasn't able to reproduce this issue.
I've also contacted the rpnet support and they were also unable to reproduce this problem. My guess is that you've re-generated your API key inside your rpnet account. Maybe you're sharing that account with other people and they did this or you simply did this by mistake?

Hello, again.
Here is my log ID: jdlog://3862311370661/ Regarding your points: 1. The only time that I regenerate my API key is after this problem occurs, because it is the only way that I can get JD2 to recognize that my account is still in good standing. The only other time that I regenerate my key is when I renew my account, which only occurs one-time per year. 2. I do not share my account with anyone. The only time that I have allowed access is when Jiaz has asked for it in order to fix a specific problem. This was always sent directly to support, as instructed. My RPnet account does not expire until September and has been in good standing since last year. Thanks. Last edited by GNIREENIGNE; 27.01.2023 at 09:03. |

You didn't enable debug mode first (see my last reply).
Please do that and provide a fresh log. According to the rpnet.biz support this is not supposed to happen as the generated key never expires unless changed by the user. I can at least see your API key in the log and I can see that it is invalid now. My guess is that this is a serverside issue/problem with your account. If you want you can also simply validate this yourself next time - this is the request JD is using to obtain your account information: Code:
premium.rpnet.biz/client_api.php?username=yourCustomerID&password=yourAPIKey&action=showAccountInformation Code:
{"accountInfo":{"premiumExpiry":1755302400,"currentServer":"RPNETSERVER"}} Code:
{"error":["Invalid authentication."]}

But I did enable debug mode first. I also restarted JD2 afterwards. I did all of this before generating a log file and sending it to you.
Do I need to have debug enabled prior to this issue happening in order to catch it? Regarding the API key, the account is still in good standing and can still be used. It is only JD2 that requires the API key, and for whatever reason, it is rejecting it, even though it is good. I will test the link that you provided if/when this happens again. Thanks. |

Whenever you're running into this issue (red account status) please do the following:
1. Restart JD. 2. Go to Settings -> Account Manager -> Rightclick on your premium.rpnet.biz account -> Refresh Do this 2-3 times. 3. Upload and post a fresh log. Also as said, JDownloader only displays the information it gets from the rpnet.biz API. With the information I provided you can verify this yourself to evaluate whether our plugin or the rpnet API is to blame.
