Question Split tunnelling VPN with JDownloader2?

Is there a way to force JDownloader2 to use only the VPN network interface? I saw in the proxy settings section there is some "direct" setting which seems to allow selecting a network interface, but I couldn't get it to work and there is no details in the help file.

Is this possible or does it need a third party utility like ForceBindIP or something?

Add connection with type DIRECT and either add the IP of the device (in case it is fix) or the name of the network device.
See https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...04&postcount=8
You should blacklist (like link above) updates and MyJDownloader for VPN and use direct connection to avoid update/connection issues via MyJDownloader

I tried this but it didn't work for me. I'm on Windows, should I be using the name of the connection as the interface name, instead of a Linux style name like ppp1?

In Config dialog there is a button that shows all available network adatpers and their names. you should be able to find the correct device name there
