I've tried the first link and it works fine. No problem with hotfile except reCaptcha.

The problem is at your end.

To those who have problems with hotfile :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the port 80/html/web scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1.

3) JRE version 1.6.0_17 32 bits ("**External links are only visible to Support Staff**) is the last version that's compatible with jD. Remove more recent versions.

hi remi, free version is working fine. error only comes with premium download

have disabled firewall, set max connections and max downloads to 1 and have latest java version

Then wait for further instructions from a developer.

I am also receiving this "invalid account" message within JDownloader and have contacted Hotfile, which says, JDownloader is aware of this problem.

Is this correct?

My hotfile account won't keep its premium status in JD either.

I've been having the same problem as the OP for two weeks or so.

I have a Hotfile Premium account valid until 19/06/2010.

When this error occurs, the premium account settings in JD show that my account is invalid. Refreshing the account makes it valid again, and then I have to enable premium for this hoster again.

I have the same error when logging in from the PC soon after the error occurs (Too many login attempts...).

Edit: I have rolled back to Java RE 6v17 (before the weekend) and the problem still occurs. I'm guessing it's not related to Java.

Edit: Max Connections is set to 1; Let Reconnects interrupt resumeable downloads is ticked; Do not start new links if reconnect requested is ticked.

I've kept logging enabled for when it happens again so that I can post more info if needed.

Premium links download perfectly in Google Chrome using the same login details as in JD - on the same PC.

@decoder: Considering I haven't contributed to the development of JD (yet), I appreciate any and all efforts by the development team at resolving the various issues. Hopefully they are looking into this, but I'm sure they have a lot on their plate with the way that hosters change their rules on a daily basis. I have not had a single issue with Hotfile before when using JD. I'm pretty sure Hotfile have changed something with their premium check routine.

Please check your login passwords for spaces, spaces can cause problems!!

I've started JD with the -brdebug parameter, logfile shows this:

My password does not have spaces in it. The premium account login works initially and then stops working.

With the brdebug we can surely find the bug.
...by the way the hotfile plugin was recently changed (don't know if it had already been released), maybe the bug is already fixed but please post the log anyways.

The error happened again. I really struggled to upload my log (6.5MB with brdebug enabled!) using the JDownloader pastebin, so I used pastebin.com instead.
