When I add link on my computer, it will extract rar file automatically. However, if I add link using MyJdownloader remote android app, it will not extract unless I go to archive setting in the app and tick auto extract box on every single file. Already check the archive extractor setting is good and have the enable box ticked. It used to work fine before the last 2 update. Please investigate

As @cobra7512 stated I observed that...
1) adding link directly via computer WILL extract. 2) adding link via android app will NOT extract 3) adding link via chrome extension will NOT extract. strange... |

Please provide more information and make sure you have updated your JDownloader to latest available version!
Maybe screenshots or example links?

I've been having a related problem, I have the Archive Extractor enabled in the settings tab, but it doesn't auto-extract when a download is finished and in the drop-down menu the "Archive(s)" selection is greyed out.
I'm on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, in case that's in any way important. |

@nealcaffrey
recent install? the bash script apparently doesn't give proper feedback and incorrect JARS for extraction are grabbed. You can fix that by deleting Core.jar and run JDownloader.jar raztoki

That did the trick, thank you kindly!
Another thing, in my Ubuntu Dash I now seem to have two jdownloader 2 and two jdownloader update& rescue applications, maybe you have any idea why? A second (faulty) installation of JD2 or something? Thanks again, in any case. |

Update and Rescue is a shortcut created by installer. You can simply remove it from Dash

I created a 1-minute screencast showing the problem. Notice that I need to manually initiate extraction at the end.
