@aej i DONT just want 480p that's the point, i frequently switch between the other variants but i like 480p as default to save space so i use that one the most but i switch to higher qualities for a few videos and changing variants is just a hassle now, it was so much easier before this update and i have no idea why you need to "improve" something that worked perfectly before... changing the default variant while keeping the others in the dropdown isnt an option now and i find that silly.

I'm suddenly getting file "offline" errors with Youtube links.
I haven't changed any settings.

@Patr100
your installation is fubared (not the first time either https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=68426)
your using class files which no longer exist (deleted sometime ago)
CrawlerPlugin out of date: jd.plugins.decrypter.TbCm@163c846 :31871
for instance we have TbCmV2 and with its revision is 33679

I recommend that you do a fresh install from a new installer (incase your re-using old ones) from jdownloader.org/jdownloader2 . I would do this to a new install location, copy over your download lists from old installation post install.

Why does this keep happening? I only just updated JD before retrying the links.

@Patr100
no idea something with your system probably.
But it does explain a lot of your posts, because they are mostly not reproducible.

you have too many *, not balanced
they need to match pairs

reset settings and try again.

And if checking the build date is pointless, how can I tell if I have an out of date version or plug ins?

@Patr100
clearly you get some updates and not others, either system/securitysoftware is removing files or blocking files. Why that happens I have no idea... Maybe bug in your configs, or maybe bug in updater, maybe your system blocks some files from been updated and or removes files (antivirus etc).

have you tried installing to a new path and starting a fresh?

It looks like the new plugin is not able to download any vertical videos in full resolution.

Sample link:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

The max resolution available is only 810x1440 19.52 MB max file size.

I tried a previous Jdownloader version from March 31 build date and it was able to download at full HD 1080x1920 30.44 MB max file size.

There's a problem downloading vertical videos at 4K too, it looks like it's downloading LQ videos and upscaling them to 4K.

Sample link:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

The 3840p 30fps MP4-Video AAC-Audio variant (actual downloaded resolution 2160x3840) is only 29.91 MB, the downloaded video looks like its a LQ 240p video stretched to fill 2160x3840 resolution.

The lower quality 2160p 30fps MP4-Video AAC-Audio variant (actual downloaded resolution 1216x2160) is 49.48 MB and looks much better.

If you play the 3840p variant, the video looks very bad, like its 240p?

The vertical videos full HD issue, I see now that the full HD option is still available. It is now listed as "1920p 30fps MP4-Video AAC-Audio" instead of "2160p 60fps H264-Video 128kbit AAC-Audio"

It was listed in the wrong order so I didn't see it.
1440p
1440p
1440p
1440p
1080p
1080p
1080p
1080p
1920p
1920p
1920p
1920p

720p
720p
720p
720p

The 4K vertical videos is still an issue, video looks LQ and the lower quality variant has bigger file size than 4K variant as seen in the picture.

By the way, is my issue being ignored?

That's why I said my issue has been ignored.

Try this latest MV **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** endorsed by Hillary Clinton.

I see two possibilities. YouTube has been playing around this bitrate thing especially with VEVO and videos with © music. Or JD2 has some grabbing issue if the first assumption is incorrect.

Please try other YT links like trailers. You will see the issue.

confused: JD detects the correct stream ID, but this stream does not have a constant bitrate. Sometimes ~128kbits, sometimes ~192 kbits. Maybe this depends on the upload quality.
To detect the actual bitrate, we would have to load a few kilobytes of the stream. Because of performance reasons, this is not possible at decryption time.

@coalado, u got 128kbit mama too?

So there's an issue that's not an issue?

Not that my setting is off or JD2 is not working properly.

Guess my assumption that YouTube or its uploaders are mucking around is closer to the truth.

confused is now confused.

I will wait for a few weeks and try again. The Rihanna MV was an example. A Sharika MV recent release, the first week was 128kbit. Few weeks later, I tried again and it came out 192kbit. Long time ago, it was 256kbit and VEVO scraped that.

Enable advancedsettings-> DoExtendedAudioBitrateLookupEnabled with the next update.
JD will try to show the correct bitrate then.

Hi, I have been having really slow download speeds for the past week with all Youtube videos. They start out downloading at say 40% of my full download potential then slow down to around 600 KB/s after a minute or so. I have the account with the unlimited speed showing. Any thoughts?

@Hansvel: Youtube limits speed to actual bitrate of video/audio. They dont want you to leech

Since the update today it seems like the Linkgrabber only make the highest Quality for Video download available to me - although my settings are still to grab all kind of Quality (p).
Any clue?

When I want to download subtitles for videos with multiple subtitles in the SAME language, the plugin is choosing the auto-generated one.

So if the two subtitles are:
- English
- English (auto-generated)
I want the English one and NOT the English (auto-generated) one.

When I try to look for variants, it only shows me one selection. Maybe rank all the 'auto-generated' subtitles lower than all the other variants?
