Hi all!!!Nice and very helpful forum...Well done admins!and the j downloader rocks...!!!
My problem is that i have this router and i cant reconect using liveheader/curl
My router has an ip address 112.138.11.542 when i put it on my browser it ask's me the username and password, when i put them in too it lets me disconect and reconect internet and to move forward with my downloads from rapidshare...
Why my j downloader cant do that automatically?
If i hit fetch router ip says that cant find my router hostname...?(pass and usernam are 100% correct...)
Please help me!!

Sorry for my english guys im from Hellas..

Welcome. Your English is fine.

I hope you mean that your router address is 112.138.11.254. The other won't work, because each of these number are bytes (0-255).

Unfortunately, the current release does not have a Hellenic language file. The next version will. Maybe you can help us where there are mistakes?
----------
Go back to the liveheader/curl page. Fill in the information (user ID logging onto the router, password for logging onto the router, and IP address for your router). Ignore the rest of the buttons and tabs.

Click on Create Reconnection Script.

A dialog box will appear that has your router IP address at the top. Since you are having trouble, tick (check) the Raw Mode box.
Now, start your web browser on the same computer. JDownloader records everything you send to the router and everything the router sends back (just for generating the script).

In the web browser, do exactly what you did before to disconnect and reconnect the router from the internet. When you are done, JDownloader will congratulate you. Finish exiting from the router in the browser. A script should appear in the big box in the middle of the liveheader/curl page.

To see if the script works, click on the Change IP button near the bottom of the page. Within a minute, you should see some results reported. If the IP address is not changed, try the Change IP button again.

If you get an error message, you might have to go to the Reconnection Advanced page (below Reconnection in the tree on the left). If the IP address did not change on the first try, but was different when you were ready to start the second try, it means JDownloader is going too fast. Try setting the three values to
First IP check=30,
Retries=5, and
Timeout for IP change=120 seconds.

Try Change IP test again. If it succeeded in changing your IP address, time how long it takes to tell you that the IP was changed (it won't hurt if you have to run the test again to time it).

Now, you can set First IP check to the time you measured + 3 seconds.
Set the Timeout for IP change to three times the time you measured.

Test again, to make sure things work with these new values.

If you have problems, write in this thread again. It would be good to include a copy of your Log. To see the log, click on the ? menu (question mark). Then click on Show Log. The link in my signature tells how to upload a log from this point.

To your health,
Για την υγεία σας,
Martin

I hope Google's translation isn''t awful.

@ Profit16

Make sure your username and password for the router are in the top of the Liveheadder/Curl page. The "Authorization: Basic" lines look wrong to me, but I am not used to Raw Mode scripts.

Did you try to record without raw mode?

Please try the following:
1) start JDownloader, but use the square icon to stop downloading before it starts.
2) Set log level to ALL (as in the tutorial linked to in my signature).
3) Go to the Reconnection page. Make sure the liveheader/curl tab is selected and the script is showing in the big window.
4) Click on advanced and change the numbers to 30,10, 120 (you can reduce the first number later).
5) Go back to the Reconnection page and Click on Change IP. The interaction between the router and JDownloader will be recorded in your Log.
6) If the reconnection fails twice in a row, then try recording the script again, this time without raw mode.
7) Go back to the Advanced page and change the numbers back to 30, 10, 120 if they have changed.
8) Go to the Reconnection page and Click on Change IP.
9) If it works, tell us here. If it does not work, upload your log file (as in the logging instructions) and add a message to this thread with the URL of the log file. Users other than staff cannot read the URL or the log file.
10) Include any observations (lights on router, whether the internet connection still worked after reconnection and so on)

drbits

P.S. I hope you know that your username means the money earned in business, not the prophets, as in the bible.

1) Uninstall Java version 1.6.0_20 and install version 1.6.0_17
2) Install JDownloader into c:\jdownloader (not program files, that is restricted in Windows 6.1). Make sure that BUILTIN\users has full control privileges to the c:\jdownloader directory and all of its contents.
3) Copy the contents of the old jdownloader\config directory to the new jdownloader\config directory.
4) In the Reconnection settings, copy the script from the old jdownloader to the new. Make sure the other settings are correct. Make sure the advanced page gives plenty of time for the script to work (30, 5, 120). You can drop down the top number later if it is too long.
5) Test it out and see what happens. You might have to re-record your reconnection script.

Tell us what happened. If you are still having trouble, upload the new log.

Your router is a minor problem. JDownloader cannot find parts of itself.

You must change to Java 6u17 (1.6.0_17) 32 bit as described above.
Make sure the c:\jdownloader directory exists and that BUILTIN\users have Full Control of the directory and contents. Then follow the instructions above to reinstall JDownloader.

We cannot even look at router issues until you get the JDownloader core operating properly.

Do not ask for help with the router until you have corrected your JDownloader installation issues.

Note: Part of the problem is that your version of the OS is not compatible with Microsoft's recommended practices - the OS is broken in ways that Microsoft will not repair.

Sorry, I cannot tell much from the screen shots (I am retarded and cannot read Greek). Also, a translator program does not work with screen shots.

We need to make sure that your JDownloader is working correctly. The best way to tell the actual version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is by opening a command window and typing:
java -version

If JDownloader is installed in C:\jdownloader, then open a command window (as an administrator), change to the jdownloader directory, and type
java -Xmx512m -jar jdupdate.jar -restore -branch STABLE
This will make sure the Jdownloader files are correct and updated.

Exit the command window. Running with administrator privileges, create a shortcut to jdownloader.exe and change the shortcut properties to include "Run as Administrator". Start JDownloader with the shortcut. Set the Log level=ALL, download some files, upload the Log, and set you Log level back to None.

Post the URL you are given when you uploaded the Log. Post your URLs. Then (hopefully) I will have something to work with.

If JDownloader cannot run well enough to let you start downloading a link, please set your log level=All and post an Emergency Log (In English Support -> General Discussion -> Solving Problems, there is an index that takes you to a page that explains how to do this).
___________________________________________

In the meantime, one idea I have about your router Reconnect problem is that maybe it is speaking the wrong language. If you change the router language to Deutsch (or English if you cannot read the Deutsch), that might help record the script. I am not sure the script recorder is UTF8 and the script appeared to be for DE or EN, not HE. After changing the language on the router, try recording a script, following the tutorial at the top of the Reconnect Forum.

That is normal. That is why we cannot use ipconfig to change the internet IP when there is a router (or any other kind of NAT). You have to use your browser to connect to the router and search for a way to change the external IP address or a way to restart the router so that the ISP will assign a new external IP address.

Please read Getting Started with Reconnection and try to record a script.

So after much trouble I think I managed to start reconnection for TG 782
Now, first it is necessary to have a dynamic name (as somebody.dyndns.org)
In the settings JDownloader should enter the username and password to connect to the net.
Under the IP address of the router to enter (somebody.dyndns.org) and make reconection script.
I use Firefox and I made this ... we know that clicking on the Create reconection script runs with the browser interface of the router. (**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**) I'm next, he opened a new tab and entered the address of your router though (not Dynamic name) clicked on a disconnected, waited a few seconds while the router disconect .... After that I clicked on connect and saved the script as such. I was happy when I saw that clicking on Change IP address actually changes. Okay so I did it and I hope that both of you to do.
Eh, within the frame where the script is ok but it would make the script manually (ie, one record and then repeat the process).

This is certainly not yet (maybe) final solution but for now :-)
Just as I write this take off something from megaupload and so far no problems.

Greetings from the Croatian

p.s sorry but this is not working well (indefinetly reconection error ) :(
