Downloading videos from cloudfront
Hi guys,
i have bought a video course, where the videos are hosted on cloudfront. When I look into the source code of the website containing the videos, it shows me urls in style of this: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**[a_large_number]&Signature==[some_cryptic_stuff]Key-Pair-Id=[some_cryptic_stuff] When I open an url like this from the website's source code in my browser it shows me an "403 Error" and "The request could not be satisfied." When I use Jdownloader 2 it shows me that the file is offline. When I run the video on the website in some javascript custom webplayer ( i think it's flowplayer ) it runs like charm. Is there any way I can download that videos to my harddrive without using a screen recorder tool? |

Hi,
without being able to test this I cannot really help you but it seems to be an MP4 http video stream so you should be able to download it. Have you also tried getting the stream URL e.g. via browser extension "Video DownloadHelper"? -psp-

Thank you for your quick reply. I tried VDH and it shows me the file to select. When I click on download, the download starts but immediately it fails.
Can I send you an example file links through pm? The links are time stamped and it's possible that it gets locked, so I don't want to post these links in public |

Your example does not work here.
What's possible is that the URL is: - Bound to IP address - Bound to cookies - Bound to Referer - Expires after a certain amount of time - Is only valid one time Either some of those or all together. The last case would be the worst one. This would mean you'd have to get that URL before it gets accessed by your browser to be able to download it. -psp- EDIT By the way Cloudfront is just a general CDN (ContentDeliveryNetwork) which means other content hosted by cloudfront may not have these limitations and can be downloaded without issues.
