Channels are just ways to group posts by topic (specific games, cartoons, etc). They can be just about any name, but posts don't have to be in a channel, i.e.

There is also an NSFW section where all links, channel or non, are prefixed with /nsfw/

(NSFW galleries are member-only)

You can easily do this using LinkCrawler Rules - a plugin is not required.
