Default Archive Extractor messes up the blacklist

The Archive Extractor has a setting "Don't unpack files matching the following regular expression (one per line)".

Is this about the name of the archive, or of the files contained therein?

If I add the line
Code:
.*github\.com.*
then it turns it into two lines:
Code:
.*github\.com
.*
So then it doesn't extract any files at all.

Edit: Maybe there was some invisible character after the "m" that was causing this. What caracter might cause an additional newline to appear?

Hi,
this setting is about the files inside archives.
Example:
workupload.com/file/TX5sQURX76e
This leads to a file called:
Code:
blacklistexample.rar
In there there are two files:
Code:
1mb.test
test_github.com.test
Now I've modified your filter to:
Code:
.*github\.com.*
After extraction, all you get will be:
Code:
1mb.test
If you want to disable extraction for archives based on filename, go to Settings -> Packagizer and add a new rule accordingly.

Please keep in mind that Packagizer rules will only affect files added after the rule has been created!

That was not my main point. My main point was this:

If I add the line
Code:
.*github\.com.*
and then go to another part of settings, and then back to Archive Extractor, I see TWO LINES:
Code:
.*github\.com
.*
There probably was some INVISIBLE CHARACTER after "m" that got replaced by THAT SAME CHARACTER AND A NEWLINE.

Unfortunately, I deleted it instead of copying and analyzing it.

Where are settings backups stored? Maybe I can find it there.

I'm unable to reproduce that issue.

There are no settings backups unless you created some.
