Default Mega very slow download

I opened a ticket with Mega and they could find no issue on there end.

Opened the download inside of browser and I was getting over 49 MB/s download speed.

Download in JDownloader the download started fast for a minute or so than immediately dropped from over 55 MBps to under 3.3 MB/s.

I have attached image of the account itself is logging in properly and the speed I am getting. This is a recent issue as it was hitting well up to 100 MB/s day before as I have a 2GB fiber connection.

@molitar: Browser uses 1 connection, whereas you setup at least 2 connections (or more) in JDownloader. Can be that the first connection is high speed but the rest is slower and once the first connection/chunk is finished, the rest goes at same speed. this heavily depends on network/routing/tcp settings/server settings.

To do real comparison, use same (1) number of connections/chunks. Also you can change CDN location in Settings->Plugins->mega.nz, I don't know which one will be used in browser

OK changed to 1 connection and also tried to uncheck and check the use global CDN under the mega settings and it did not make a difference. It starts out very fast but than slows down after about a minute.

@molitar: you have to rightclick reset started links in order to reset their chunk setting. else resume will use previously set number of connections.
Also are you using same download directory? browser and JD downloading to same destination?

Are you using any kind of VPN in your browser?
Also please go to ipv6-test.com and post a screenshot of the results.

Yes to the same directory. I have attached and image this is when it starts to slow down but it started at around 55 MB/s.

I also tried the reset did not affect it any at all. Well end of my night I work night shifts will check back in later for anymore updates.

@molitar: there must be a reason for this, either firewall/av or same issue in browser and you do not check correctly. please use taskmanager to compare real speeds. In doubt, let's do a teamviewer session and contact us via support@jdownloader.org

I've noticed this happening too for the past few days. Starts fast, then a few seconds later it tapers down to between 30-100 KB/s and doesn't go back up. If I keep stopping and starting, it will continue starting fast and dropping. Rapidgator for example, doesn't have this problem. It's a strange thing. I'm also in the middle of troubleshooting global speed tapering so it may not be about JD and more to do with my local area/region, but thought I'd share that I'm having the exact same thing as OP.

Example URLs please.

First go through the slow speed troubleshooting all the way:

If the problem is reproducable on multiple devices and only happens in JDownloader, mega may be speed-limiting downloads via API.
They recently also changed login behavior for API logins (link).

Then also check if the same slow speed problem happens with other mega download-tools which are using the API e.g.:

@serrato: also check settings->plugins->mega.nz as you can change cdn location ("Use global CDN") and might get different results then
