The same issue from here is happening to me as well. I keep trying to copy the YouTube cookie with EditThisCookie and pasting it into the account manager, but it keeps failing to recognize it. I would've tried FlagCookie, but said extension seems unable to register the existence of the YouTube cookie in the first place, so it doesn't give me the option to copy it.

@MarqFJA87: try the following. Restart your browser, go to yt website (not a video) and then export the cookies. In case it still fails, please send us the exported cookie string to support@jdownloader.org

@MarqFJA87: I've answered by mail. Seems you used the wrong export method. Please use the export to clipboard in json format. your mail contains a export to file format

@MarqFJA87
No idea how/why but you must have modified the default settings of the EditThisCookie addon and changed the default export format.
Rightclick on the EditThisCookie Icon -> Options -> The last option defines the cookie output format here you need to select "JSON".
Somehow you must have selected "Netscape Http Cookie File" instead.

@Jiaz: Huh. I guess I changed that setting for some reason and then forgot to change it back afterwards. It's working now. Thank you.

That said, it would really help if you point out this requirement in the cookie login instructions, because they mention nothing about it.

Although I do not agree 100% as "json" is the default setting, I've just updated our cookie login instructions and added an extra step to the EditThisCookie instructions.

i am recently getting many video corruption in youtube downloads.
I use tor to download them but I use that before too. and I have tested http proxy and still corruptions are there.
I noticed this with vimeo videos recently but I thought that was because I rebooted my system unsafely.
but now I am not sure anymore.
deos anyone else see any corruption in videos downloaded?
btw is there a command line or a free program that check videos for corruption, because right now I can only confirm these visually.

update:
using ffmpeg as:
ffmpeg.exe -v error -i downloadedfile -f null - 2>error.log
I get these messages:
[libdav1d @ 0x562ccf11b640] Unknown OBU type 0 of size 4

I tested with vp9 too so I know it is not av1 only.
also when I download the file every time I do (and I get errors) the size is different.
so maybe jdownloader is missing some parts.
I had this issue with hls before but on sites like ok.ru and not youtube.

this is really bad.
this issue is random and that makes it hard to diagnose.
I didnt ever had this issue with youtube on jdownloader.

@rezad: when it happens on yt/vimeo and different format, most likely it is hardware/system caused. you should check your filesystem and smartdata of your disk and also check your system memory (memtest86).

I tested with download of rar files.
they works.
android rom image with hash check works.
only these videos that I explained get corrupted.

Can I get some advisory on how I'd download a playlist such as this one? So I attempted to do the click and drag over the videos to get them all picked up by the LinkGrabber but it doesn't end up working and just spools and because the playlist is over 100 I can't just simple drop the URL in either. Is there another way to download all 154 videos in the playlist without having to manually grab the links for each one? Maybe a specific point I click and drag to so LinkGrabber doesn't freak out?

Playlist: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

@TheRenegadist: please see https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...postcount=5177
for example scroll down until all videos are visible and then select them all and copy to clipboard.

Was genau meinst du? Es gab seit dem 6ten September keine Updates. Aktuell bin ich an den gemeldeten Problemen mit der Paketierung dran. Aber an (Play/Channel...)Listen gab es keine Änderungen.

I think the jdownloader skips some data ( maybe because I use tor proxy to download videos from youtube).
I noticed that when the errors are there the video file is smaller than the size shown in link collector. but when the size is correct, usually the video is correct too.

@rezad: No changes from our side and JDownloader downloads the file/stream as it is. What ffmpeg version do you have? Can you provide example links where this happens? Have you checked if those videos are/were live streams? those only work once fully converted and need to be added again in that case.

Hi,
I've a problem with youtube (RSS/xml) links.

Problem:
I add the RSS-Link of a channel to jdownloader and no videos are found.

Problem since:
2021/12/24

Last time it worked:
2021/12/23

Example Link:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
For non staff members: ***youtube***/feeds/videos-xml?channel_id=....

Additional Informations:
1) I add multiple links on a daily basis via a Script. None of the YouTube xml links does work.
2) Deep crawl does work, but collects half of twitter, insta, and so on with it.

@oni-: I'm sorry but I could not find any sign/hint that the plugin ever supported those feeds. I've checked all changes between 01.12.21 and 24.12.21 .Those urls never were supported and either you had a Linkcrawler Rule in place or placed the extension on auto deepdecrypt.

Script? do you mean Eventscripter? or external script?
if Eventscripter, then just set the deep decrypt flag AND/OR
-create a LinkCrawler Rule for this xml url to only parse/find video links, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...le-deepdecrypt
-setup a Settings->Linkgrabber Filter-> and only allow videos from this xml url as source.
I would recommend LinkCrawler rule as this will make JDownloader auto crawl the url when copied to clipboard AND also filter out unwanted content/links.

thx Jiaz for the fast response!

I added an event script provided by mgpai in february 2021. It worked till end of december. Never changed it, never touched it ^_^.

I'll look into your suggestion with Linkgrabber Filter / LinkCrawler rule.

Default LinkGrabber File limit to 500 items?

LinkGrabber in YouTube is limited to 500 items?

Is this JDownloader limit or YouTube limit?

If JDownloader limit can it be increased?

Typical YT problem.
Try again later, try again with/without VPN(other IP) or using a Google account (as you've already found out).

This error means that you have hit crawling/request limit and either have to wait/trink tea or try another IP/reconnect/VPN/Proxy. Using an account can help but you still might run into limits

I suddenly started getting Host errors but only for certain videos. Updated ffmpeg did not help. Turned out my download directory path was too long so I just had to shorten the name of my target folder. The logs were not that helpful but did indicate an issue with ffmpeg:
org.jdownloader.controlling.ffmpeg.FFMpegException: FFmpeg Failed

Are path length limits different per OS? Would be nice if JD can warn of this.

Yes.
We even got a support article about this topic:
https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...load-directory

I'm not sure if that case is so easy to detect especially because:
- Using FFmpeg, a lot of other path related failures can happen
- While Windows e.g. has a certain limit, this can be disabled which opens up even more room for errors

The mentioned support article should help in this case though when FFmpeg is in use and a path is too long, this may lead to all sorts of other errormessages...

@badbob001: maybe you can provide a log when this happens or try to reproduce this? see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs how to create a log and post logID here

Hey @Jiaz have you guys solved the packagizer issue yet? this is really annoying and it is a bug you guys created when you initially updated the plugina. If you haven't fixed it already, can please make it a higher priority?

@fuknuckle: I was hardly able to reproduce it but I encountered same issue at other plugin and fixed it so fingers crossed it is the same bug. I'm still working on release of the next update

Default Linkgrabber not grabbing complete playlists

Just reread and tried this recommendation. By actually highlighting each individual video's title and then clicking 'copy link address' on the whole selection, I was able to get the links in playlists with 200 - 300+ videos. Without this step I was only getting 100 links.

One problem though- I get spammed with pop ups in jdownloader asking me to choose between the video and playlist- well of course I want the playlist, but I get this prompt for seemingly each and every link it's grabbing!

Any insight on this would be much appreciated...

Settings->Plugins->youtube.com , there you can disable to ask and set video only

libswscale 6. 7.100 / 6. 7.100
libswresample 4. 7.100 / 4. 7.100
libpostproc 56. 6.100 / 56. 6.100

they are not live streams.
any youtube link that I download is at risk of this.
I have seen this before with jdownloader and vk.com site but that was rare cause I use that site rarely.
and I dont remember ever youtube videos that I had downloaded being buggy.
but now I see them sometimes being buggy and I have to redownload many time to get one that doesnt give ffmpeg errors and the error are different every time for a specific video.
I always download youtube via tor proxy as it is blocked in my country but that was the case for older downloads too and they worked.

btw I dont know of any other way of checking to see if a video is corrupt and so I use this ffmpeg command to see any error it seems.
if you have a better way to check can you tell me?

@rezad: unfortunately I'm unable to reproduce the issue and there have been no changes from our side. also if it was a JDownloader error it would affect all user and also happen again when you download again the same file.
Please test your system memory with memtest86. also try to download to different drive. Also you should check/try a different ffmpeg version as you're using a different one than the one JDownloader does install

I get these messages:
[libdav1d @ 0x562ccf11b640] Unknown OBU type 0 of size 4
Also please know that the error seems to happen with av1 codec, so maybe in the past you've downloaded vp9 coded streams.

I understand that this is frustrating as it is not reproducible.
I think it is cause by my net.
if it was my memory I would see that with more file like rar files that I download or videos from other sites like vimeo.

the part about different ffmpeg I dont understand how can I change that.
do you mean my system-wide ffmpeg installed with my os package manager?
I installed jdownloaded a long time ago and dont know what version it has.

about the av1 , it is not only av1 if I remember correctly ( as net in my country, iran, is restricted and cant try now) vp9 also has this error.

but maybe I should disable av1 and see it works better with vp9?
as I said in my first report " I tested with vp9 too so I know it is not av1 only."

@rezad: maybe you can try without TOR Proxy and use VPN/different Proxy instead?
ignore my comment about ffmpeg, it's your own ffmpeg that you use for *probing/testing* the videos.
Have you checked if different max connection (1 or more) makes any difference?

Hi,

Is this YouTube issue still happening with other users (i.e. only being able to download videos in 720p, although the video is available on YT in 1080p, 1440p, 2160p...)?

A sample video :
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Since my message in January, I'm still facing these issues.

Any thoughts on how to solve this?

Thanks a lot!

@heinerklingle: cannot reproduce, no such issue is known. please provide a new log.
please try to reset your plugin settings in Settings->Plugins->youtube.com and hit the reset button
