Default Fiber Optic Router

Our ISP recently switched us to fiber optics. JDownloader was unable to reconnect and was also unable to find a way to reconnect when I tried Create New Script.
I contacted our ISP and asked them how I could get a new IP and they replied that I need to unplug the router for 6-7 minutes, and when I plug it back in, I'll automatically be assigned a new IP.
Unless someone here knows something our ISP doesn't, I'm out of luck. No more automatically reconnecting.

Before doing anything, I would verify this manually by doing exactly that (restart your router).

If you get a new IP, you can put time into working on a script.
If not, your IP is static or only changes automatically in bigger intervals like once every 24 hours and a script wouldn't help.

If your IP is static, you could still use proxies or VPNs to switch between different IPs.

Default Unplug is the key word here

Thank you for your reply.
It's not just restarting the router. As I wrote, they told me I have to unplug the router. That's why I wrote that I don't see any way to use Reconnect. Not unless JD has a magic script that can unplug routers.

Sure that is possible too (but again, first you should do it manually to make sure that that really changes your IP).

You can use any kind of remore/script controllable smart plug to remotely "unplug" your router.
While I will not provide any working/finished solution here, I did go deeper into this topic e.g. here:

Default Will do

I can't test it right now because my wife shares the router with me. When she's not using her computer, I'll check and let you know.
(No idea where to get a smart plug and have zero experience with them.)

This is something where an internet search and/or asking your most technically savvy friend would cone in handy.

My main point is:
Yes it is possible but that's also where my support ends though you are free to post your final solution here in order to help other users.

Default They told the truth

I got a new IP address.
Is there anyone here who's ready, willing and able to create a script?
