Mac Os Command keyboard shortcut no longer functional
Recent update affected Command+click shortcut. No longer selects multiple files. I use to be able to select multiple individual files in a package. Now when I try the shortcut it only selects the one file while unselecting the previous ones.

No updates/changes from our/JDownloader side at all. Tested on two different Macs and working fine. Please check your system/mouse/accessibility settings. Also try to restart your OS.

@biribao and @almondjoy8: what MacOS version?
I can reproduce on my MacMini as well but no changes on JDownloader side, so most likely a bug/change by Apple I can also reproduce issues outside of JDownloader eg in Finder the selection no longer works reliable

macOS Monterey 12.3.1. In finder and other software the cmd+click work fine, in jdownloader the cmd have no effect. Multi selection with shift key work normally.

So is the fix to update Java too? I am running the latest JD but still see this bug. I am running Java 8 (1.8.0_333-b02) on macOS 10.14.6 (Mojave)

@eno: I was able to reproduce the issue on High Sierra, Mojave and Monterey but ONLY on Java 17.
On Java 8 , all three tested OS worked fine. And latest update did fix it for me on all tested OS. Have you changed theme on your JDownloader installation ? Settings->Advanced Settings->GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.lookandfeeltheme is default? Can you please check with newer java, see https://jdownloader.org/jdownloader2

@emmit: just asking, this issue is new for you, right? didn't happen before but now happens with recent update?

Yes. This is a new issue. I just noticed it after one of the recent updates (I just discovered it about 2-3 days ago). I use 'Cmd-Select' frequently, so immediately noticed that it was gone.
I just checked this on another computer running Catalina. I haven't upgraded JDownloader on that machine in a little while. Java is current. So checked to see if 'Command-Select' worked properly before upgrade (it did). Allowed JDownloader upgrade, and Cmd-Select no longer worked after upgrade. I took an 'About' screenshot before upgrade and again after. Both files enclosed here if that is helpful Thanks for your help. If I can assist in any other way, please feel free to ask. |

I just upgraded to core# 46070 and all is well. Cmd-Select works normally and as expected once again. (Mojave, Java 1.8.0)
Thanks for fixing this so quickly! |
