lots of updates requiring restart
I'm getting lots of updates requiring a JD restart. At all times of day and night. During the week-end as well. How come this is happening? Are developers really working 24-hours a day, 7 days a week?
And if so, why not consolidate some of the restart-requiring updates? One per day (or even fewer) sounds more reasonable. |

I can't confirm this.
Also there are advanced settings for updates. GreeZ psp

Well, how can I debug this? Do you have a list of the updates you push to users? Where is the log of updates in my installation?
I know there are update settings, but ultimately you have to pull the updates anyway. I guess I could turn off updates, then back on after 24 hours, then off again etc. Which is a lot of work. |

In the advanced settings, is "UpdateSettings.donotaskjustinstallonnextstartupenabled" enabled?

Quite a few build>full commit strings today, probably resulted in many restarts if you permit it to. This was required as release of code inadvertently effected other components so many fixes where required. That said there are also multiple programmers working on different issues at hand. Generally build>full commands are not given multiple times a day. Usually a few times a week at the most.
Keep in mind that core update only install on restart, and you can disable the restart event. Plugin updates do not require a restart in order to install, and are active after update takes place. Use advanced settings (filter update), and define your desired actions.
