Reduce the creation of the "downloadList" backup link to reduce CPU usage
Good. I love jdownloader. I have many links in the jdownloader, many !, and their creation of link backups are very useful but uses a lot CPU processor, so I would like to reduce the creation to 1 time per minute or every 5 mins. Example:
path file C:\Users\userwithafx4100\AppData\Local\JDownloader v2.0\cfg downloadList95739.zip weighs 300mb and it creates me as 5, and generates 1 every second, very useful when you make a mistake but sometimes I see it as unnecessary and it does not let me do other things while I download, Does anyone know how to edit this or what part ??? In conclusion, I need to reduce the creation of downloadList95739.zip at 1 per minute, instead of 1 per second. We are grateful!. |

Can you please provide a screenshot of your about dialog of JDownloader?
300mb of downloadList sounds like VERY VERY LONG list? Don't get me wrong but I doubt that this happens every second as this would mean compressing list to 300mb every second and the minimum delay is 5 secs (default) and the max delay is 60 secs(default). That means minimum 5 secs after latest change and max 60 secs before writing changes to disk. You can already customize min/max delay in Settings-Advanced Settings DownloadController.minimumsavedelay DownloadController.maximumsavedelay

In conclusion, I capture files, download, keep the links completed in a folder as a backup, so I do not download it again. To reduce the links, I check the status of each link and delete those that are offline because they are not necessary, these dead links have to be deleted manually, I did not find a way to delete them with a single click, since they are completed and I can not make the cleaning filter work with completed links, even if they are already dead. It basically erases everything that is completed, what is online and what is not. I will be close to 100000 links counting games or movies, series, books, comics, music that never downloads. Ordering all that is a nightmare. SSD changed my life, about 1min to open. Haha curious. I change this DownloadController.minimumsavedelay 5000 to 60000 DownloadController.maximumsavedelay 60000 to 300000 is 5mins i think. |

Thanks for the feedback. Yes those values are in ms, so 1000 is 1 sec.
with those changed values the write pressure should be reduced, right?

You should also keep an eye on the memory stats in the about dialog of JDownloader. Maybe it's necessary to increase java heap for more swoman work with JDownloader and to reduce memory pressure
