there are some links which aren't available on fileserve, but JD grabber shows a file size and try downloading them, like **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

what's causing the problem?

Their link checker is kaput. They don't seem to be able to repair those file indexes.

@Alborz
We use their linkchecker and it shows wrong information.
Test it if you want:
fileserve.com/link-checker.php
Please contact the fileserve support.

Hi, i've recently just purchased fileserve premium and just 2 days ago, and our govt from malaysia decides to ban a few file sharing sites, fileserve being one of them. May i know is there a way to bypass the dns ban they have on fileserve on jdownloader?

I use Bit Defender... You think that could be the issue? Are there any settings I could try?

In the first place I would protest against your extremely corrupt government, stop paying taxes, go on strike, etc., because they won't stop increasing their power if you don't react and prefer to stay a perfect slave.

Until that ban is removed you can try proxy servers and VPNs.

Hi there, fellow malaysian here. I would suggest you change your DNS setting. I'm using Google's DNS @ 8.8.8.8 and I'm able to access the blocked site.

@remi: Protest require police permit to go ahead, so you can guess the chances of that happening. We have law that allows detention without trial, renewable every 60 days without any limit on the numbers of renewals. Then there's the death in police custody, which is common but don't get reported since all mainstream medias are controlled and/or own by the government.

So yeah, we're kinda reluctant to "stick it to the man" in public.

Anything else I can try short of removing bitdefender?

Thanks!

Yes try to remove it and restart your PC, then you're sure it's caused by that program.

I know many people think like that about their governments, but leaving your country wouldn't solve anything because you would then be in another dictatorship. Why do you think so many people in so many countries are protesting?
What you can do is convincing the people you know about the abuse of power and the crimes of the power elites in your country. Awareness building is the first step towards democratic change.

Yes I know it's very difficult. Power elites have perfected their strategies and tactics for ages. They know how to indoctrinate their people and obtain their money. The money is key. It's the middle class that pays taxes that's actively collaborating with the power elites. As long as they don't go on strike or stop paying taxes nothing will change. Massive strikes are the second step towards democratic change. These massive strikes need to 'evaporate' the power elites.

I thought I'd update that the solution was simply to remove bitdefender... They obviously changed something in an update recently that blocks something or other... Who knows, except working perfectly now with another Antivirus/firewall...

Thanks for your help guys!

All these programs have their problems. I'm currently testing a firewall but I just detected a serious bug.

Only common sense will keep your computer free of malware.

Default Downloads Failed

Hi,

All of a sudden my Jdownloader cannot download anything from my premium Fileserve account. I have been using jdownloader for months and I have never had a problem.

Things I have checked.

1 fileserve website works fine without using Jd.
2 checked firewall settings, everything is fine.
3 java version 6.21

I don't know what to do, I definitely don't want to stop using Jdownloader because it worked great in the past.

Please help me get JD back to normal

If your password contains special characters, please change it.

Then remove your account, restart jD, and add the account again.

If this wouldn't work, please provide a complete and detailed log.
