Same Filename will cause to only download one File
Hi,
last time i added 2 files named "1.rar". Both files where with the same file name but not the same file-size. Pushing them into the same package made JD2 to download one file but deleting the second file link. Well this is a very big problem because in most times the community likes to download only one file with the same name because they are downloading a DLC. But in this case you could add two independent files with different size OR same size, you want to download both but only one is downloaded. Maybe add Option in Expertoptions? => its not the same file if it is at the same OCH? => its not the same file if it is more than x MB different size? => its not the same file if the size is more than y% different? Workaround: - Pushing the files in two different packages negative: you have to carry on each package you add to check if there is a double file name. Maybe add a window that informs about double file names and what to do with them. Maybe add a background highlight of the links that have same file names AND add a symbol for the package that has same filenames. Thanks - Enomine |

we have settings which would do most of this, but we do not discriminate where you downloaded from (hoster/multihoster). We also have settings in which use filesize as determining factor (advanced setting: GeneralSettings: Mirror Detection Decision). Assuming your mirrors links are in the same path and your file exists & mirror detection settings permit.

The existing mirror management already provides all this
Depending on your settings it uses 1.) filename 2.) filesizes 2.1.) safe (both filesizes come from an api, final downloadlink) 2.2.) unsafe (file size comes from text like 100 mb or 1GB) 2.3.) with given % error rate (compares 2.1 or 2.2 and allows x% difference) 3.) hash compare There is no need to delete the files. When they are in the same Package JD will do its best to detect mirror/different Link (depending on your settings).
