I had the same problem as Wow843, but i remember when i logged into youtube on jdownlaoder it works. But now i cant login anymore. my log is:

I resetted my JDownloader, logged in on youtube in my browser, it works fine.
But when I try to add my account, it says Cannot Add account because Premium Account.

Well as long as you did not accidently enable pause mode in JD, there is pretty much nothing you can do.
Try changing your IP and/or try downloading via a VPN and check if you get better speeds.

I can download your URL with 1MB/s but that is not representative as I'm probably just lucky ...

I haven't hit pause. I'm not sure how to do the other stuff, but I think I read once before that my isp doesn't allow a new ip. I don't want to pay for a vpn just to dl from youtube. It seems like it has something to do with the bypass not working possibly. However, that was never an issue before as I wasn't even aware of the setting before last week. I used to be able to download videos from youtube at any size really quickly without it whenever it was I last used JD for that. When I attempt to download at the higher size the download is faster 720 vs 360. At 360 it is really slow. I don't have any issues streaming youtube in a browser. Could it have anything to do with my OS being so old and not being able to upgrade that? Thanks

Hat noch jemand das Problem das JD sagt das die Logindaten falsch sind und nach entfernen des Accounts es nicht mehr möglich ist einen hinzu zufügen? Da kommt als Fehlermeldung "Account kann nicht hinzugefügt werden. Grund: Premium Account."

Hi...Trying with different links still having same problem. Also, having an issue where it will fail to add youtube link to linkgrabber. Sometimes it's just the video track other times it doesn't add anything. Have to quit and relaunch. As for the speed thing it still seems like it's related to the bypass setting. Is this a relatively new setting? I never had to check that box before and didn't seem to make a difference anyway. Also, the speed is faster depending on selected resolution. 360 is slower than 480, and 480 is slower than 720. It also may start really fast and then drop down. For example, it can start over 1mbps and then drop down to like 100kbps. No issue streaming in browsers. Thanks

youtube premium isn't working.
after typing login and password it gives error: "cannot add account because premium account"
the account I'm trying to add has access to Youtube Premium.

Is there a setting somewhere for this?

At the moment the account login is unstable/broken :(
Once the account login works again, you just have to add your google account in Settings-Accounts.

When I try downloading full channel from youtube, JD not find all videos. These videos are not protected or anything, they are ordinary. What could be wrong?

I tried with these channels:

@pinko: Very likely there are duplicates in list. This has been the case each time a user reports this. A quick test confirmed this.

@sjwolf: ratebypass doesn't work anymore since longer time and download rates are limited to actual required bitrate of the video

I can no longer add video variant 144p H264 3gp from any youtube video. I like this variant because I am on a download capped rural internet provider. Did youtube eliminate that variant?

Check formats supported by your player and set JD to automatically grab lowest quality variant (e.g. 144p Video + 48 kbit/s Audio) compatible with it. If none of the formats currently provided are supported by your player, you can convert it to 3GP (will degrade quality, but might not be much noticable in lower resolutions) using external tools (e.g. ffmpeg which is installed/available In JD), either manually or using a script.

JDownloader shows all available variants. We don't remove support for variants. I guess YT began to remove those old variants

@walid_reao: Youtube limits download rate to require bitrate of the video. They want you to watch the video and not download it, so why give higher rates You might wanna try to increase max connections

@JUpunpacker: check Settings-Plugins-search for youtube and check the preselection.
Also try rightclick and change/add variant and check if the higher qualities are listed/available. In doubt, please provide example link for testing
