This is the filename (!) that appears in the LinkGrabber. I copied it with F2, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C.

It says "Too Many Requests", but this is the first link I tried today.

Did YouTube maybe start rejecting certain UserAgents? YouTube works fine in my browser.

PS: Resetting the IP seems to help, but this doesn't explain why it works in the browser without resetting, nor why it says "Too Many Requests" for the first video.

Over the years, I collected a lot Youtube videos of either Music or Documantations or Tutorials of things, I deem important and so I like to collect those. I usually do this with Jdownloader.

But for example last night, I started downloading a lot of Timelapse videos and other nature or weather related things, which a lot of videos are 4k in quality.

We watch them in the living room on our Smart TV, all the videos are stored on our NAS. So tonight I wanted to show my gf some of the videos I downloaded, and our Smart TV wouldnt play those. I wondered, because we do that with a lot of downloaded Youtube videos, and the TV never complained.

I checked, so far the videos I have from youtube, were all .mp4. Now since last night and today, what I downloaded as all .mkv, which it seems our TV doesnt like so much, or lets say the TV's included Mediaplayer software.

Why is now out of a sudden all .mkv when it was til now always .mp4 ? Does it have to do with the 4k of the Youtube files ? Are 4k or larger files get converted by Jdownloader to .mkv or is that something that recently changed ?

How can I change that, or can I even ?

Hi pspzockerscene ..That sucks now that they are using DRM crap.....No But I have Flash Tot that wont work anymore since I cant update FireFox anymore.So I cant try with that program..Thats the problem with stoneaged computer here with Windows Vista..


I found another source of the same video which works fine which came from the same source channel link that does not work...

After the latest update some of the youtube videos are now broken with only partial parts dled and then it shows they are off line or can not verify that they are still there and can be restarted.

Going to youtube using the above links works just fine in the web browser

Checking on another OS using jdownloader also the youtube mp4 conversions are not completing on most of the above links either when it is able to download from the links above.

On a side note I am not sure if their current change to anonymous viewing is part of the problem or not. I can view the videos in their entirety via the web browser, but when trying to dl them through Jdownloader sometimes it works and most of the time it doesnt work. On a couple of videos now and then when I reset them some will complete but not its a catch22 it seems. Just a thought as I am not logged into youtube and prefer not to do so. Especially knowing who now owns them.

I had the problem last week where all videos I tried to DL was getting " HTTP 429 Too Many Requests". I wanted to post a log but it took a while to get my account activated. There was an update of JD yesterday and it looks like it's working again now.

Are not completing and the Nadler and Cipollone went off on each other. Then Chief Justice Roberts admonished both. (1080p_30fps_AV1-128kbit_AAC).mp4 is not completed as one would expect. It shows only a 4KB file size and is corrupted/won't open of course.

No I am not logged into youtube when viewing from the web site and no I am not adding youtube with a login to Jdownloader either. When viewing on youtubes site they do show/play in their entirety though.

I have had FFmpeg installed on both systems for ages so unless something has changed there not sure.

If your seeing no reference to FFmpeg in JD2 then how best to fix it for both OSes?

Settings --> Advanced Settings --> Search for "youtube: " --> Click on all arrows on the right side that are yellow

Two Questions:
Considering this is happening on both of my machines and only with youtube, and that I have the same ffmpeg_10.6+ Folder in both JD's app/tools/mac folders. what will happen if I delete those files and folder and restart JD? will it try to replace with a more current version of ffmpeg on either machine?

I have tried to no avail yet to find the latest build of ffmpeg that was built for later OSes that includes the newer libs and backward compatibly built after Mac changed some of their build parameters in the later OSes starting with OS 10.7.x and still looking :(

I have looked at the all arrows on the right side that are yellow also under the youtube settings and well there are a lot there and if I reset them to defualt how do those settings again get replaced if nothing still works?

Sorry there is a lot to copy and past to a text file if I need to replace settings for youtube later with the way I currently like to have things done.

All of the links above play and work in the web browser also.

This may be the cause of some of the other issues now that Google has taking things over from the older youtube ownership.

While I was downloding one that was working it said that it was downloading from googlevideo.com although everything shows as still youtube.

I know also they are making a change and asking to use the newer updated web page, least when I open youtube after i close and repopen my browser.

As a side note after translating the post in the Deutscher Support > Decrypter-Plugin Probleme area by fdvbk200 this seems to be a problem also for them too they just may have noticed it a tad sooner.

I waited a while also and restarted JDownloader and was able to get the above files that I was not able to get. so not sure if it is actually a JD problem or if youtube/google is actually causing an intermittent problem that may get worse later.

Latest addition to the weird issue I am noticing of late.

I was on you tube and was reviewing a lot of the older Weird Al Yankovic Videos for fun as one or two was re-pointed out to me in another forum.

When I was letting them play and sometimes fast forwarding through some to get to the next one, Often I would select copy with the command c and often I ended up having to restart JD and re-select the copy from clipboard to have them start copying to JD again. The links would copy for maybe 10 or so then would stop copying again. I would restart JD and redo the copy from clip board to start again copying the links to JD .... This went on for a long time, I think I ended up getting some 40 or 50 links before I decided it was time to quit looking at them also on the web site.
The other issue I saw with JD is as I reported earlier with the links showing up as not online although the were online via the website through the browser.
So I went to JD and selected to try dl them anyway, some started and dled without a problem then JD started not dling them and I get the error messages Again of "Try restarting the link (plugin outdated)"
I close and restart JD and although the links still showed as not online They started dling ok for a while then JD would stop dling with the "Try restarting the link (plugin outdated)" Again.

To cure this unfortunately again I have to restart JD for the ones that stopped with that message to start again.
I usually get about 12 full downloads before I have to repeat the process of restarting JD and restarting the DL's from youtube.

Something is very Weird so to speak with the plugin it seems as well as the possible copy and online status in JD atm. Again is it something to do with the way Google and Youtube are making changes especially considering their also now getting into Youtube TV cwap etc?

I do download many videos and I first thought maybe I got banned or something, but browser works just fine. Internet Download Manager is able to download the videos at any quality.

Happens with videos from 10 years ago vs brand new ones. So probably not DRM.. Again IDM is OK.

Thanks XtremeMaC for the extra detail I was not able to pull up as you were able to do.

So it looks like Google/Youtube has made a change that intermittently breaks the JD plugin. Least how I see it atm.

Now to wait for a fix hopefully.

Hi there!

I just started having an issue with login into Youtube. It shows the error message "Cannot add the account because premium account".

The account I am using for Youtube was never premium and it was working ok until a day or two ago when I downloaded last time from Youtube. But now suddenly out of nowhere it's giving me this error.

although I am still on occasion having to restart JD for grabbing links and downloading links from youtube (as mentioned previously) most are downloading ok but on occasion one or two will still fail to convert and I found where I could look at the variants and have seen the following there. shown in the attachment.

My question is since there seems to be duplicate variants in red that are also showing AVI formats for the files is there away to remove those as I am wondering if for some reason that may be causing the ones that fail to complete or not?
Why are they in red also?

I just started having an issue with login into Youtube. It shows the error message "Cannot add the account because premium account".

The account I am using for Youtube was never premium and it was working ok until a day or two ago when I downloaded last time from Youtube. But now suddenly out of nowhere it's giving me this error.

Note:- My Youtube account was already saved but started showing login error so I removed the account and tried to enter the details again in case if it would work but now it doesn't even save the account and shows the error in attached screenshot.

YouTube account support is officially broken at this moment and there will be no fix available in the near future!

I'am unable to reproduce your issue.

You should reset your YT plugin config to make sure that it does not cause any issues.
See the yellow arrow on the top right nearby "Please chose a plugin"

@ pspzockerscene I found that it was the AOMedia Video 1 that was causing the double and the red ones so i disabled that one for now in the youtube plugin settings ... but this still is not fixing some things where i need to restart JD now and then to get links to add for youtube or for actually downloading them now and then .. and yea there is still something wierd on occasion with some not completing and properly converting and for now when I find such I will use another app to gab those which is a pain (but the end video is converted and usable without any issues, but o well for now I can wait for a proper fix hopefully in JD as it happens on both the 10.6.8 and 10.10.5 OSes I am using atm) one way or another hopefully
