Default real-debrid.com login error Change amount of time to Reconnect

Sometimes during the first couple of hours of starting my downloads, the multi-hoster disconnects once or twice and starts to check for connections within the “Account Manager” so I have to manually “uncheck” and “re-check” the blank-box for this account. This usually occurs when either there is a disconnect from my internet connection/ISP or from the multi-hoster.

Apparently, this is occurring momentarily from the hoster side either as some in-place check for user-account verification or server-side issues. I think that when I’m not monitoring it and this occurs, that JD will eventually reconnect properly to the hoster on its own after a given amount of time. I have checked the “Reconnect” under “Advanced Settings”; however, I’m not sure which one of the settings controls the amount of time for this reconnect so that I can change it to a shorter amount of time.

I’m including a screenshot of the “account manager overview” where I’m referring to the manually checking/re-checking the reconnect status and a screenshot of the “reconnect” settings in “advanced settings”.

Hi,
what you want is not related to the "Reconnect" settings.
These settings are all about getting a new IP/auto-reconnect feature.

According to your screenshot this error was not caused by a disconnect but the real-debrid.com API has returned an error.
According to our plugin code the current waittime for this error is 5 minutes (= RD account gets temp. disabled for 5 minutes).
Which waittime would you prefer instead?

If this error keeps happening you should additionally contact the real-debrid.com support and ask them to fix this serverside...

Ok, thanks,

I was hoping to change the "5 minutes" to something lower in the "advanced settings".

It only occurs sometimes and it is intermittent so I don't think they will be able to do much about it, however, if it does occur more often, I will submit a ticket to them with a screenshot.

Well they cannot lower the waittime but they can work on their system so that this stops happening this frequently.

As said in this case there is no setting but we can lower the waittime.

By the way, there has been no more disconnect issues in the "account manager".

It has been working properly.

If there were any; then your update obviously reconnected before I could notice it.

Thanks for your feedback though I guess the issue has been solved by real-debrid.
Maybe they're reading our forums - I haven't contacted them last time

If the timer was changed to reset after 1-minute, would this counter not reset and start over after it reaches 59min?

Today, their site site has temporarily gone offline due to maintenance that they started on the 24th, yet, the countdown counter has gone down beyond 10-minutes without resetting and starting over from 60-minutes every time it reaches 59-minutes.

I'm sorry but I do not understand your question.

1. The error you are getting now is a different one than before (yes I did read your post about their scheduler maintenance).
2. Once the timer reaches 0 the account will get checked again and if the error happens again, the timer will start over.
It is auto checking the account and the error will only be displayed again if it actually happens again.

If you want me to check what exactly is happening, please post a debug log.

Please post your log-ID here | bitte poste deine Log-ID hier.

My question is that since the plugin was changed to try to "reconnect" after 1-minute, should the countdown not start over at minute-59?

When there is a disconnect from either the host or my internet connection, the plugin should try to reconnect after 1-minute according to the adjustment that was made to the plugin; therefore, the countdown should start over at 60-minutes when it reaches minute-59.

Instead the countdown continues all the way to 0-minute and then starts the countdown all over again from 60-minutes; which means that the plugin is not testing and trying to reconnect after every 1-minute but after every 60-minutes.

No - the plugin was changed to wait one minute if that certain condition happened too often.
It was a failure on download attempt and not a login related issue.

No and you haven't understood my answer.
My changes don't have any effects on connection issue.
The issue you had was not caused by a disconnect but by a server-answer of real-debrid which our plugin could not deal with.
It was no "disconnect" thus there is no "!reconnect" after the retry - it is just retrying after that wait.

It is trying for sure.
You are free to post a log and let me check it.

It makes no sense to try to hammer a website/API especially if it is down/under maintenance.

Ok, now understand.

They are basically two different/separate types of "issues", as I believed that the 1-minute adjustment was for "all" (disconnects/connections and server-answer of RD).

I suspected that this was the case when I noticed that it continued to countdown after 10-minutes, however, I was not sure.

It is still a little confusing because "a failure to download" can also be caused due to a login related issue either because the website is down/inaccessible or my internet connection temporarily fails.

RD has been back online for awhile as they have completed their three day maintenance so all is good.

Thanks for clarifying.

No.
The "1 minute wait" is for all ases in which real-debrid returns an unknown error instead of the file you want to download.
It was NOT(!) for timeout/disconnect issues.

Again: Without a debug-log I won't be able to tell you what exactly causes the yellow failure-status...

Yes sure login issues can also happen within download attempts but if handled properly, the account will get temporarily disabled just like it happened for you.
Without a log I won't be able to tell whether or whether not that supposedly long waittime makes sense.

It probably all makes sense but I won't be able to look into it without a log.

If you look at my the first screenshot from my first post called "Account.Manager.Overview.Service.Unavailable" and compare it to the new screenshot from today, it shows that the "status" are different for both: the first one shows "service_unavailable" and the new one shows "Unknown Error", and they were both "temporarily disabled": first error was for 5-minutes countdown (I think) and the second one for 60-minutes countdown.

On my first post I mentioned that I noticed that these types of disconnects occur either because of "any" issue on the host side or on my side (internet, router, etc.); therefore, I was hoping to find/change a setting to change this reconnect time so that I would not have to manually "uncheck" and "re-check" the hoster in the "Account Manager" or for JD to take less time to "re-check" when I'm not monitoring it.

What I didn't know was that RD's API error (from my first post) was different than the one from RD been completely "offline" as they were earlier today which can also be caused from my end if there is a temporary disconnect from my internet-service which is what I was originally hoping to change in the time countdown of JD.

Apparently JD handles both differently where I believed that they are "all" handled the same when there is a disruption between JD and the host regardless whether it is on the host-end or mine and causes JD to "temporarily disable" it in the "Account Manager".

Again:
1. The "service_unavailable" was a real-debrid API response and not any kind of server- oder clientside timeout.
2. The new error-reason must be different else you'd only get a 1 minute wait.

It seems like for whatever reason you do not want to provide logs which is fine but please understand that I won't put any more time into this thread because without a log I simply cannot know what triggers the issue again and again for you and whether it makes time to reduce the wait time or not.

Here are your options:
- Post a log and let me look into it
or:
- Send your real-debrid login credentials to support@jdownloader.org so we can simply test it
or:
- Create yourself a workaround either via EventScripter script (ask for help HERE) or grab our sourcecode and change it in there

Nevertheless - have a nice weekend!

Thanks for the options.

The issue has not occurred since the timeout was adjusted to 1-minute.

I only mentioned it now since the host was offline due to maintenance and I happened to noticed that the countdown was more than 1-minute and I did not know that the 1-minute adjustment was only for the RD-API response and would not affect any other type of disconnect issue which is what I originally wanted to change (a global timeout setting).

There is no reason as I have provided logs in the past, however, it will not make any difference since nothing needs to be done at this point since the issue has never repeated (at least that I have noticed).

If/when it does, I will provide a log and/or make a script to work around it with a global timeout/reconnect.
