Default Installer not working on macOS

This is the first time I have been running into this issue on any macOS system.

Quote:
java version "10.0.1" 2018-04-17
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 18.3 (build 10.0.1+10)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 18.3 (build 10.0.1+10, mixed mode)
I also tried changing my JAVA_HOME to a lower version and I get the same error. macOS 10.13.5.

The installer is not compatible with installed Java10. Either remove Java10
or try this one

That one worked just fine, ty. You may also want to offer the bundled version for java 10 until the installer is compatible

Best java is still java 1.8. JDownloader has experimental support for Java 1.9, 1.10, 1.11
but as it doesn't make use of any new features and still is compatibile with Java 1.6,1.7,1.8 there are no *near* plans to remove backwards compatibility.

Yes, I will replace the installer as soon as I find time.
Just out of interest, did you install Java10 yourself or some other application or was it installed by default?

I had the same problem on my Macbook (10.13.5), running with Java 1.8
Actually, I'm using jEnv to use multiples java versions, I installed them with Homebrew.
I'm also have Java 10 installed, but it's strange because running "java -version" on my terminal I got:
Quote:
java version "1.8.0_172"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_172-b11)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.172-b11, mixed mode)
Running jEnv versions i got:
Quote:
system
1.8
1.8.0.172
10.0
10.0.1
* oracle64-1.8.0.172 (set by /Users/tschleuss/.jenv/version)
oracle64-10.0.1
But, in the error logs seems that Install4j are getting the Java 10

System properties:

java.specification.version=10
java.vm.specification.version=10
java.runtime.version=10.0.1+10
java.version=10.0.1
java.vm.version=10.0.1+10

jenv manages JAVA_HOME but there are multiple ways for an application to query/use java. I guess install4j uses different one.
