JD > Logs Huge (when not using)
If I erase all log files, then (b) run jDownloader, then (c) do absolutely nothing, (d) close jDownloader, and (e) examine the file:
This Log file will be greater than one megabyte. Remember -- this is without doing a single thing in jDownloader. Is there any way to turn this particular form of logging off? I searched Advanced Settings but I didn't see anything related. Last edited by Jiaz; 14.04.2022 at 11:00. |

@MediaFanatic: JDownloader regularly checks the accounts in background to update state/expire dates/remaining traffic and other stats. Because of the large responses, the data doesn't fit into temp buffer and is written to disk in this case. I will check if we can optimize it because normally (not in debug mode) logs are only written in case of error. or is your account in error state?
You can disable logging completely by setting Settings->Advanced Settings->Log.maxlogfilesize to 0 and restart JDownloader

@Jiaz - Thank you very much, this is a tremendous help.
I'll just have to remember this setting, so that I can quickly re-enable logging when required! |
