Download Not Allowed for some google drive folders and files (Not flagged by google)
I'm trying to download a few tv series from google drive. And my JD doesn't let me download them, saying "Download is not allowed". I've logged into my account and have my api key entered, yet it doesn't work. Those files/folders are not flagged by google. But I can download them with IDM surprisingly! . I prefer JD over IDM so if any one help me solve my problem that would be great. Edit: the thing is, if i make a copy of the files, it downloads without any errors on jd!
For example: 1.mp4 gives me download not allowed error, where as copy of 1.mp4 downloads without errors. Last edited by satwik; 11.05.2022 at 08:36. |

@satwik: Have you setup your google account via cookie method? see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...n-instructions
Please provide a debug log. Enable Settings->Advanced Settings->Log.debugmodeenabled and restart JDownloader, reproduce the issue and then create a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs and post shown logID here

@satwik
This error can only happen when using the Google Drive API. Why did you enable the usage of the API? Can you download them manually via browser too? Please do the following: 1. Provide a logID and URLs to the files you can't download via JD. 2. Remove your Google Drive API credentials from JD. 3. Delete- and re-add all affected google drive links to JD. 4. Check if you can download them now. -psp-

Thanks for helping me. PS: I've used the api so that jd can download without rate limited/data transfer errors. But I have a gsuite account so that can cover it I guess. |

@satwik: Thanks for the feedback! I will ask pspzocker if it's possible to auto retry with website mode in case this happens, but no guarantees

I don't think that auto retry would be a good idea as this must be a very very rare case.
@satwik Please provide the links which failed via API so I can at least check if this failure was caused by a mistake on my side or if there is actually a bug in the Google API. With the next update, you can simply reset such links and try again without API. You do not have to delete- and re-add them anymore. I've also added this to our Google Drive troubleshooting guide. Also said troubleshooting guide does not mention the usage of the API to avoid those limits. All it states is to add an account! -psp-
