Default Update fails

For the last week JD keeps trying to update and after about a minute fails with an error message about insufficient privileges related to file core.jar.
Current version Fri Feb 21 14:08:52 CET 2014

If it's any use, here's the log.
24.02.14 15.19.50to24.02.14 15.18.48 jdlog://9922734130931/


Also, still has the mistake in the message "Validing install".
"Valid" is an adjective. "Validate" is the verb.

I see in the logs that there is some restore code running.
I would suggest to re-install (backup cfg folder)

Please give feedback if everything works fine afterwards

I found a "lock" file in JD's folder dated 21 Feb, and it was in use by JDownloader, even though I had shutdown the program.
So I killed the JD process and deleted the lock file
Then restarting JD it could update normally.
Now I have version :
Tue Feb 25 03:45:42 CET 2014

Ok so the problem was that jd did not shut down correctly. Thanks for the info
