@SMS
No, alternatively you can also reset your existing YT URLs to force JD to "forget" that there is a limit (See context menu).

@pantau
YT is working just fine and it does find all available variants.
It's up to you to configure JD properly.
See Settings --> Plugins --> YT

@az15
Please read this:
https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...postcount=3633

Your "Video 3" example e.g. is now downloadable in 1080p but 1 and 2 not (yet).
This will continue to happen until we're supporting the "MPD" format.

@Xenos
At the moment we haven't implemented any measures against detection which means this issue may continue to happen for some users/especially users who download a lot from YT.

I personally was NEVER able to reproduce this so far ...

@pspzockerscene
Thank you very much for the quick response. Is there any specific reason why I receive the "Too many requests" error only on my macOS computers and not on the Windows ones? Of particular note is that on my MacBook, it was the first time I have installed JDownloader2 on that machine just to test for this error. I have even tried it on my virtual machines. Thanks again!

Thanks! Then I'll just download in 360p, for the moment. At least it doesn't happen very often.

But I still don't understand why 2 of the 3 videos are in the "MPD" format and the 3rd is not (same day, same user, same video type). But okay...only youtube can answer that, I guess

Thanks, and have a nice day everyone!

Default Youtube videos have lower bitrate than with y2mate

@pspzockerscene

I think my youtube plugin settings are fine and all set to best quality.
Can you do me a favor and try to download that video as mp4 in the best possible quality with jd2 and let me know the file size or video bitrate of your download please?
I am very interested to solve this.

The Weeknd - Blinding Lights (imy2 Cover)

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

with jd2: my size is 50 mil bytes, bitrate of the video is 1849 kb/s
with y2mate.com: size is 68 mil bytes, video bitrate is 2591 kb/s

For many videos jd2 and y2mate create the same size but for some videos y2mate gets a higher video bitrate on my system.

Thanks, pantau

@Xenos
Sorry really no idea which criteria Google uses for this decision!

@az15
Yap only Google can tell you this
I think our supporter raztoki wrote a post going a bit deeper into this but I failed to find it now ... and it doesn't change the situation anyways^^

@pantau
Mine is also 50MiB in JD.
Please check the REAL quality via browser e.g. using developer tools / addons like "Video DownloadHelper" - your tool might just do placebo work ...

@pspzockerscene

The mkv video seems to have a better quality than the mp4.
So maybe that y2mate.com website downloads the mkv video and saves it as an mp4 then.

Anyway thanks a lot for your time and tips.

JD does return the same variant as best quality with default settings:

Hey, a video appears to have been made unavailable before demuxing and now won't convert. I can see the complete .dashvideo and .dashaudio files. Shouldn't JD still be able to convert these since I have the files? Is there some other way to do it?

EDIT: I may have screwed this up further. I tried changing the extension from dashvideo to mp4 to see if it would play without audio. It didn't work. I tried changing it back to dashvideo. I hope some one can still help.

Thanks

Looks like YouTube changed something recently. I'm now constantly getting this for all YouTube videos: https://i.imgur.com/w0N2htC.png

Even YouTube downloader websites are failing: https://i.imgur.com/vlEB2HA.png

Is anyone else experiencing this?

EDIT: I'm also getting this when going to the official YouTube website now: https://i.imgur.com/T4qrUrs.png

Edit: it's fixed itself now, whatever the problem was.

This video says unknown size in linkgrabber and only downloads 100 kb. I'm trying to find out the problem. It's only this video where I've ever seen that happen. I always download in 360p mp4 if that matters.

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Actually, I now noticed there's a timestamp at the end of the address. I tried copying the address without the timestamp to see if anything would change.

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Well, it did change. Now linkgrabber says it's 65 kb in size. And it refuses to even start to download, instantly saying there's an error.

I don't understand why that would change or what's going wrong. I'm not having any problems on any other videos and I've been using youtube a lot lately.

@plip
Your linked YT videos are streamed via "MPD streaming" which JD cannot yet download:

Thanks for the info. MPD has been around on Youtube for two years? I'm surprised I've never heard of it or had problems with it before.

Interestingly, a few hours before you responded, the video became catchable in linkgrabber and can now be downloaded through JD2.

I'm wondering if maybe some videos are MPD-only to start with, and after long enough become available as the usual video types as well (was 3 or 4 days in this case before JD2 could properly catch and download the video).

Yes that's how it is.

@zerra

Default New issue?

Today I wanted to download some newer videos from the following YouTube channel:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

That used to work flawlessly in the past, but now JDownloader could find no download links. Unfortunately I could not figure out why, but several browser extensions that I also use to download different kinds of media neither worked. Has YouTube changed anything or is it just a national issue? By the way, I live in Germany.

Stay healthy!

medialex
