@tafreire: yes, but the used ffmpeg version has to support it. Then you should be able (ffmpeg support + video support) to change variant via rightclick context menu to AV1.

According to this page, JDownloader was able to download live streaming videos (of indefinite length of time) until around 2015:

Is this true?
If yes why is this so?

@plaintext: JDownloader never officially supported this. My guess is that streaming is different now than back then. "never officially supported" means it may work but also may not work

has nothing to do with title, server issues with requested audio codec and auto switch to different one fails.

Question

@elvis_ef : Was the issue resolved for you or why didn't you inquire any further?

These are two links of the same one channel.
If I choose the first one, all links are being grabbed.
If I choose the second link, only first 100 links I am getting.
I'm currently encountering the same limit, while playlists/channels with >100 items weren't a problem a few weeks ago, even with the Windows client.

Can you describe the difference between the two links you posted? (Links are only visible for staff and yourself) That could be very helpful as long as the issue itself isn't taken care of! thanks

Question Problems with youtube channels/playlists

I have tried to download whole YouTube channels but once the link grabber goes through the first 100 videos on the channel is just stops recognizing videos. This is the same for YT playlists. Is this something on YouTube's end or is there a setting I don't have right? What can I do?

I have a very strange problem with the Youtube plugin for at least roughly the last 2 months.
I put a link into my clipboard and JD always selects the 720p although a 1080p is available. If I choose the 1080p manually again from the dropdown, JD reverts back to the 720p version.

I've tested several online converters, all grabbed the 720p also. Only this website correctly downloads the 1080p version:
//youtube-mp4.download/en/the-online-converter
(not allowed to post a link, but it may help)

I have proved and double checked, the website really grabs the 1080p, but no one else does it nor does JD. How is that possible? And can it be solved that JD grabs the 1080p too, as it is obviously available and will be served by Youtube?

To make it clear, this happens randomly on older videos. New videos will be downloaded as 1080p, but I can't tell when and why.

Thanks!

JDownloader seems to crawl only the first 100 videos in playlists that have more than 100 videos. Here's an example playlist:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

When I crawl the remaining videos one by one, it works.

@eMuse/Doses13/JDmurphy
YT has deployed larger changes in playlist pagination and requires some larger changes to plugin. JD is currently only to process the "first page". Unsure when/if we can support this because they send lots of meta/browser data and also seem to fingerprinting those data
