if chrome hardware can run Java then it should be possible, else its not.

So I looked into it and apparently Java can be installed on a Chromebook... but then how do I install JDownloader2?

chrome os is just a linux variant
so grab the linux installer.

ok didn't realise its ARM, or the bash installer had issue with ARM

@potove: thats fine, but better stick with the manual installation shown in URL. I don't know if the linux installer will work fine on chromeos
