Default Help with JD2 and imx.to links

Hey all:

Fairly new to JD2. I am using it currently to parse forum links from vipergirls.to.

A lot of links get parsed to an image hoster imx.to. I don't see a plug-in in JD2 for that hoster.

This may be a known issue but I searched the JD2 forums and found nothing.

JD2 loads all the links for imx.to but the download stops by itself after a few minutes.

Cany anyone help?

ED

What exactly is the problem? I could not reproduce any issue. Maybe screenshots? Please also provide a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs and post shown logID here

Just to avoid confusion, let me be clear:
- imx.to is supported
- there are no plugin settings for imx.to available so you will not see it in the list of plugins with settings (see explanation in article linked by Jiaz)

The plugin should work fine. If it doesn't:

Hey: Thank you so much for all your responses.

So your feedback clarified a lot for me.

But: Here's what I see:

• I get a lot of red "X"s in the Status column with "An Error occured! (imx.to)" or " Try restarting this link (plugin outdated?)" Most times I have to Force a Download Start or Resume. Many times I keep clicking on Resume, which clears up the Xs, but then they reappear. If I Resume several times, sometimes the downloads will start without error and finish.

OR:

• Links show as "Starting" in status column but with no activity (Average= 0B/s and Current: 0 B/s) Sometimes these will startup themselves. Most times I have to Force a Download Start or Resume, which works sometimes.

Here's a log:

According to your log, imx.to answers with error 503 when you were trying to download images.
This could be due to you trying to download too many images at the same time.
Set max. simultaneous downloads to 1 and try again.

Additionally I've changed our plugin to auto retry in this case.

You were right: Switching the downloads to 1 never gives that error. It's slow. But it is not pausing or giving errors.

Thanks again.

After the next update JD will auto limit imx.to downloads to max 1 and also auto retry.
The undetected limit was the cause of your problems.

So, I am sorry to say the problem has returned.

After I switched the max downloads to 1 on imx.to, the problem seemed to have been gone for a day or two.

But now I am getting the same issues.

Here's a log:

jdlog://7051035302851/

Look around the 15.07.22 15:43:00-15:44:00 mark. Between those 2 minutes imx.to was giving me issues "An error occurred! (imx.to)"

@EmileDiaz: I guess you've hit sort of request/crawl limit. Try a fresh/different IP (eg Reconnect) and maybe wait.

Hi, I have the same problem with the site imx.to. JD2 tries to download more than one at a time and gets the plugin outdated error.

I looked through this thread and saw the solutions of setting the plugin to one simultaneous download and auto-retry. I also saw that these settings will be added to the next update.

I don't know whether said update has happened, but my jd2 says that it is up to date. Based on that, I'm guessing the update is still in the works.

If the update is going to be some time, I'd like to try the aforementioned solutions myself. My problem is I can't find any settings for the imx.to plugin specifically that I can access. I have gone to settings/plugins and I could not find it. I also could not find it in the account manager. I did find it in [installation directory]\AppData\Local\JDownloader 2.0\jd\plugins in both hoster and decrypter, but the codebase didn't work with my interpreter.

How can I change this behavior?

Edit: I found the quick settings in the download overview and set chunks per download, max sim downloads, and max sim downloads per hoster to 1, but I'm still getting the problem. When I look at the downloads themselves, it does appear that 3 downloads are being initialized at once despite the settings change. I guess I did it wrong?

Hi,
I'm sorry but those updates haven't been released yet...
I've updated the prefix of this thread accordingly.

The problem is that imx.to now appears to be throttling downloads to about 10kB/sec. Is anyone else seeing this? I've tried many IP addresses and they all yield the same result. It's minutes just to view one picture and hours to download a full album.

@aton76: can you please provide example links?
same slow speed in browser?
does the speedgraph in JDownloader show a red line?

Update: @aton76:for me they are also super slow in browser, looks like server issues or throttled on purpose

Yes, slow in the browser as well. I don't think it's anything JDownloader is responsible for. imx.to seems to have limited downloads to 8kB/sec, which is insane for an image hosting site.

I've also noticed that in the browser they now attempt a spam pop-up on first access. I wonder if the owners of this site have given up.

I guess only time will tell if this is a temp. or permanent issue/speed limit

Thank you @Jiaz, @pspzockerscene for your great efforts,
@pspzockerscene, Please can I revert the changes you made regarding to imx.to cause it may caused little issues since that time.
When it download from imx.to, jd2 does not try to download from other hosters, although, the settings are set to
max simu. downloads 3
1 per hoster
I want to set imx limit to 3
I tried GeneralSettings.domainrules
did not work
Thanks
