Default 9.579 Socket Timeouts

Hello, I need a little help, as per a previous thread I am uing the latest version of Kaspersky Internet Security. ver 9.0.0.736. Certain connections timeout as socket timeouts or the link will just sit with the Word "download" next to it but does not connect. Now it is definitely KIS 10 causing the problem as I can exit KIS 10, it will disconnect all the network connections immediately. All JD links will then auto connect as they should, I then load Kis 10 and all is well to the next time. What I need the help is with the exclusions in KIS10. I am not sure how and what to enter into the exclusions list. Be grately for some instruction and a couple of screen dumps. Many Thanks.

Cool

Your problems are caused by your virus software. This is the main board for jDownloader.

It's clear by now that your virus software causes lots of trouble. There are thousands of posts concerning that virus on jD's forums.

Can't you read the manual of your virus software?

Doesn't your virus have a website, a contact page, a help desk or a forum where you can ask your questions concerning its use?

go to settings there is a point called *Threats....* go there and go to applications exclude list. add java.exe and javaw.exe (in your programm folder, java) and enable every exclusion mode for each file.

then try to disable the web/http scanning module (dont worry, you are still protected).

also please dont use too many connections/downloads (in case of using premium account) if you have a slow internetconnection
1-2 max connections and 1-2 downloads are fine enough to max out 2-5mbyte/s.

I have the same problem with Kaspersky IS 2010. I did as you said,
Quote:

but I didn't disable the web/http scanning module. It seems to work now.

Thank you

Default Solved 9.579 Socket Timeouts

Update: I have added the 2 exclusions as per the recommendation from Jiaz (see above) looks good, no timeouts and or dropouts. I believe that this has solved my issue, Thanks again
