GUI problems
Hello.
First of all, sorry for my poor level of english, i'll try the best i can... I had a trouble with JD running over Ubuntu 9,10 and Java 1.6.0_15 and with web interface. After a large period of downloading (aprox. 3 days), JD is getting blocked. In the web interface appears the speed, but there is no active connections. To try to solve it i kill the process with kil -9 command, but when i restart JD there is no GUI but the web interface is available. A complete reinstalation of JD (removing all files and executing jd.sh again) solves the problem. But is so annoying doing this every 3 days aprox. I will post a log when I can. Anybody has experienced the same? Do you know if this happens in Windows? Thank you so much. Greetings from Spain. Last edited by Jiaz; 22.11.2009 at 20:01. |

im using jd on hardy, jaunty and koala and never had any issues with it.
we need logfiles and console output when no gui no longer availble. seems more like something wrong with your setup. gui should ALWAYS be there. if you have to reinstall jd in order to get it running again then someting is very wrong with your setup, so please provide a logfile

I think the problem is in the web interface. This plugin allows to set the value of maximum connections higher than the GUI interface can support.
In JD GUI the maximu connections allowed are 20 while in the web interface i can perffectly set 100 simultaneous connections. Nowadays I am on Windows XP and with 10 connections and not experiencing this kind of GUI problems. I'll switch to Ubuntu soon and i test if is this problem with the connections. Thanks a lot and greetings from Spain. |
