If you don't mind a bit of extra work you can start the download in your browser then copy the DDL url, cancel it in the browser and start it in Jdownloader. PITA but it works or just use IDM which is what I do when this happens, which it seems to a lot lately.

Hi

I think everyone should email FILESERVE directly and explain the situation..mention clearly your JD account is affected and send 2/3 emails to support ..so they get the message. Iven sent 3 now so fingers crossed it speeds up things

Guys before saying that we made a mistake please check if your fileserve account works in your browser!
Delete your cookies, try to log in again.
If it doesn't work it's clearly a fileserve bug or your account is invalid!

Hello, I can also confirm that Jdownloader is not working with Filerserve correctly.

It started earlier in the week where by it would loose "enable premium" setting and i would have to manually re-enable. Now like the other posts it says invalid account (after briefly refreshing with the correct end date).

I think it was ok before the last update.. i will test with my laptop as it has an older version installed i think and update this post.

Works ok if i right click the item in jdownloader and open in browser.

I checked my Fileserve account by logging in from browser. Account is valid and I can download directly without waiting from browser. This means the Fileserve premium plugin of JD has stopped working.

I just checked it and the login problem is on fileserve's side!
Their API is broken and returns:
Code:
{"error_code":500,"error_message":"error, try again later","type":null
It's all fileserve's fault so please complain to their support, NOT here!!!

Unhappy Fileserve :outch:

Fileserve really is pain in neck:huh:

My account works perfectly in browser and in fileserve manager but not in JDL:confused:

It shows status as "Account is ok" but expire date shows as "Invalid Account".
Can someone help me out?

And yes, worthless to mention, no point in writing to fileserve. They NEVER respond...

Sent them a message incorporating psp's comment.

You can manually log in, but downloads are buggy.

They're fast, but they're definitely lacking in quality control.

P.S. It's too bad they don't seem to care about their customers. Shooting themselves in the foot IMHO.

P.P.S. As noted, you can log into the site and download from there, but I don't trust Firefox's downloader, it's too subject to just stopping and acting like a broken download was complete. I usually switch to Opera if I have to do a download without "my manager".

FS did respond to my first message saying they had now fixed the problem, but have not responded to my last two messages to them.

FS seems to work in the mornings [Europe] but goes to 'Invalid Account' around midday.

I wonder if they 'entertain' refund requests?

I am hitting servers like hotfile, filesonic, megaupload, and ofcourse rapidshare and fileserve 24/7 for years now and I always use JD. I have come across these kind of API problems with hotfile and filesonic too but fileserve is the worst... This kind of shit happens way too often so I have to switch to Speed Download or iGetter and sometimes Fetch (I am on a mac os).

Anyway my point is there is something fishy going on here... not on the JD side... I do believe when there servers are being slammed hard, some companies like filesonic does something to ease the load on servers. Since JD is most popular app which is being used by the heavy hitters they disable/mess-up the login on JD.

This is my just my opinion. I am on the scene for a quite awhile and that's how I see it.

Yeah, the problems DO appear to be intermittent, which is puzzling.

I may be being paranoid, but this would explain some strange behavior I've seen too.

Maybe its time to change something in jdownloader and use the http login.
Its clearly better to use the api but not with fileserve.
